Works for me Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had this in place for two years now. A friend had one first and learned some tricks to seal it up. I've never had a problem through thunderstorms and Texas' 'snowmageddon'. It is just plain treated wood so you can paint it to match your trim, if desired. The price seemed a bit high for what it is but all-in-all I'm happy.

Works fine for me! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I did not want to drill holes in my wall as it is a brick house and I did not want to damage the brick. The board itself did not come painted, I did that to protect the wood. It came with weather stripping. It also came with another board about three foot long and about 1 3/4 wide. I used this to put in the window track on the inside so the window can not be opened from the outside for security reasons. It was a good idea including that. I am very happy with this product and it looks well in the window. MFJ product quality seems to rely on getting the good person to build it.

Great Idea with poor execution & price Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Bought mine thru DX Engineering. First one arrived with panel installed at an angle which would not allow proper installation plus the board itself was warped. Returned to DX (great folks with excellent return system). Second one arrived with same problems. Called DX and explained issue. Sales rep asked me to let him call me back after he did some checking. Returned my call an hour later and explained that he checked the other 3 boxes and they all had the same problem. DX prompt cancelled order and refunded my money. First time I've purchased a MFJ product, perhaps the last as I've seen other complaints about MFJ in general.
Ended up copying the idea but made it myself, looks just like theirs right down to the white paint, cost me $29 for the parts plus some sweat equity on my partl

Works, but... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Board is not painted white and looks like a used board from a pallet.

They used machine screws instead of threaded studs for the ground, balanced line, and long wire feedthroughs. I cut the heads off with a hacksaw.

MFJ could do a lot better!

I constructed one at my last QTH using polycarbonate sheet ciut to size and installed my own connectors. It ain't rocket science.

But, it saved me some time and effort. And it works.

Just what I needed Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This panel came unfinished so I masked the SS plate with painters tape and sprayed it white to match my siding. The only gripe is that some lettering came off the plate when I removed the painters tape. Not a huge deal as it's easy to identify the connectors. I would buy this product again. Buy one with more connectors than you need for future use.

Just average Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Bought mine due to rented house, poorly constructed, cheap timber , cheap connectors, had to tighten every fitting up before I could use it. Great concept but average construction and execution lets it down. I have other MFJ stuff which has been quite good, but am dubious about future purchases.

Falling apart after 4 years Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Bought mine 4 years ago when I lived in a leased home, as didnt want to drill any holes in exterior. It worked fine up until about the last year, when the Barrel Connectors SO239 are starting to seperate internally. I normally disconnect my coax on the outside of the house incase of lightning activity, and in doing so, the past several times, the "guts" have come out along with the PL259 . These connectors seem to be very cheap, and I have replaced them with Amphenol type, which are superior. Otherwise it was a good idea and purchase, but could be improved upon, but they dont call it "Might Fine Junk" for a reason.

Good job MFJ! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
A simple concept yet so helpful in my shack.

The product came with everything specified in the ad; all materials were of good quality and no issues with construction. (not always the case with MFJ)

A quick trim of the panel and installation in my horizontal sliding winder and voila! I can now seal those unslightly holes in my house wall.

Good job MFJ!

I would be ashamed.... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Here is a product where MFJ's lack of quality control really stands out. The product as received was sufficiently painted unlike in other reviews. The problem is when they slid it across a very dirty surface put black thumb prints on it and has something that looks like grease on one end of the board. The metal panel was assembled with open end wrenches and just scratched to hell and back around the coax connectors removing the silk screening labeling the connectors! The lumber used was B grade at best. The window stopper one by two was warped in two directions, split on the end and ruff cut. The windowsill board where the connectors are attached has many gouges, dings and bruises. The products are proudly labeled made in USA but I would be ashamed to ship this to any foreign country as an example of American quality. As noted before the coax couplers have a continuous hole through them. This would seem to be a glaring issue as this product is supposed to block the outside air and insects from entering the home. Save your money and make one yourself. I'm returning mine. Definitely not worth the money spent.

Works as advertised Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just purchased one of these. It actually fits great in my horizontal slide window. Trimmed off a couple of inches and fit right in. Mine was missing the weather stripping and sent MFJ a note and they are shipping some out. I suppose I could have built one of these, but the convenience factor ruled. I gave it a 3 because of he missing stripping, otherwise I would have given it a 4.
