Excellent! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Does exactly what it says it will. Compact, plug-in-and go gadget that makes producing a carrier at low power a one-swtich-flick process, rather than a multi-stage exercise. QSRadio provided great service, with no problem shipping down-under for very reasonable rate. If it breaks, I'll buy another -that's my test of whether these gadgets are worth a full 5.

Works Great! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This is a very handy gadget that saves time and your expensive Yaesu finals. The folks at Quicksilver are great to work with. Try it, you'll like it.

Beware ! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
As advertised, the TuneRite-Y would appear to be a very handy accessory. Otherwise, one has to go into the FT857's menu system to lower the RF power output until the SWR adjustments have been made.
Unfortunately, my TuneRite as received didn't do what is advertised. The power reduced to more like 25 or 30 watts (which you can do with the FT857 by simply changing the "mode" to AM or FM. Also, the unit didn't seem to be very well built with sloppy wiring and soldering.
QuickSilver offered to send a replacement but it never arrived. While they had not asked for the original to be returned, I did send it back to them to no avail. So, I conclude that either their product doesn't work at all, or they have very poor customer service (maybe both).
