FIVE PLUS Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This makes near impossible jobs easy. Taking down Rohn tower that has been up for a long while is easy with this tool. Use it just once and it pays for itself.

Best thing since sliced bread! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have installed something like 15 or so Rohn 25G towers from 20 to 60 feet in elevation over the last three years.

Before the tower jack, I'd get four helpers and we'd have blocks of wood and a big hammer, a section of steel pipe, and determination, in order to assemble a tower. All of mine are assembled horizontally then lifted. I can only imagine what the climbers must deal with in order to get things together.

Well... the Rohn tower jack, and just about anything else named Jack having to do with towers (ie, YellowJack), are worth their considerable weight. I can assemble a tower now with one helper, until its time to lift the tower. I know of four "jacks" and they're all the same. Rohn, YellowJack, TowerJack, and another one that blue (can't remember the name). They're all the exact same tool by the looks of things, just paint and stickers different.

They're pricey. No club should be without one. Not everyone is in my shoes (be glad!) when it comes to putting towers together, and I can imagine that the typical ham might only ever build one tower in ten years or more. Pricey tool for that, but they do get the job done with ease.

Excellent Tool Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Used this tool on dismantalling several rohn towers. Works great, no more strugging to get sections apart. Must have if taking tower down.

Indispensible Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Buy or borrow this tool if you are even thinking about doing any tower work. You need only to have struggled with one stubborn tower joint to believe me.

I don't have any experience with other brands or knock-offs of this tool, but this is the original.

If nothing else, I don't care to beat the tower on which I am standing 75 feet in the air.

Be Safe! Marty / W4MY

A MUST have tool!!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The "Tower Jack" is one of those tools that is a MUST HAVE if you work on even one Rohn 20, 25, 35, 45, or 55 tower!
This tool makes taking apart, Or pulling tower sections together a real breeze!
It will pay for itself in saved frustration if you take even one tower apart!

HOWEVER, As great as the tower jack is, BEWARE of some other products offered by this same company! The "Tower Guard" static dissipation brush is one of those products that can be called "snake oil" in that they do NOT prevent lightning hits to your tower! Your money is much better spent on more ground rods and heavy copper wire to properly ground your tower.
Also, The "Tower Lube" is something that should really be avoided. Rohn 25 type tower leg joints really need to have a good tight friction fit to be solid.
