Having never owned a tuner I looked into a lot of them and decided to purchase the Palstar. I have always believed in resonant antennas but when they expanded the lower bands it's hard to cover all. I set up all the different frequencies I wanted to use, made up a sheet, put in the settings and I am right on. Very easy to use. I would recommend highly..

Great tuner! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently ordered the venerable AT1KM tuner from Palstar and was pleasantly surprised to receive its apparent successor, the AT1KP which recently debuted at Dayton. Palstar even honored the old price of the AT1KM despite a slightly higher list price for the AT1KP...a very nice gesture and a class act on Palstar's part. Typical of Palstar products, the AT1KP is indeed "built like a tank" and has full 160 through 6 meter coverage. A button toggles 160 meter inductance in and out when 160m coverage is desired, the AT1KP is able to reduce minimum capacitace for 6 meter coverage. Additionally, the cross needle meter provides for peak/average readings as well as a peak hold feature. Nice job all the way around. For Palstar's new "bottom end" model, this tuner is well built, easy to tune and offers a lot of bang for the buck. Highly recommended!
