Great for the price! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I had YAESU FT-100D with ATAS-100 antenna that tuned great in my car. Once my car was broke down, and I decided to set this antenna on the roof of my house (I quickly made SO-239 mounted on the bracket), but antenna did not tune below 28 MHz. MFJ-901B solved the problem, with SWR below 1.5:1 on 14 MHz (of cause the automatic tuning will not work with this setup).

good Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I picked up this tuner a few years ago at a fest.
I use it for my 100 watt station and my QRP stuff.
It took a while to get used to it, but it works real well. I live a quarter mile from an AM broadcast station and this tuner helps keep them out of my rigs. I especially like the small size and weight of this tuner. This is the first MFJ product that has survived over two years with me. It is simple and it works.

MFJ-901B Fills the Bill Time Owned: unknown months.
The MFJ-901B is the second from the bottom in the MFJ Line. It features two air-delectric
capacitors, and a tapped coil with a switch. I use it with a Collins S-Line, and it seems to work well. It includes a balun, but on opening the case, the balun seems very small for the 200 watt rating of this unit. I found, while using it, that there were times when the best settings for the knobs was when the pointers were on the bottom half of the arc. There are no numbers silk-screened on this portion, so it made logging the positions difficult. The tuner also seems a little limited in the range of the antenna it can handle. It was unable to null the VSWR in situations when a Dentron Super Tuner succeeded. All in all, I think the tuner is a good value for the money. I couldn't gather up the parts and build it for this price.
