Best Bang for the Buck Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I am pleased with my configurations at 28 foot in the inverted "V" configuration. I have a IC-7000 @ 100W and have made contacts in Japan, Hawaii and coast to coast from San Diego to Florida.

Tripple the contacts! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Field day last year I used a home made dipole cut for 10m. Field Day this year I used a brand new G5RV Jr. I made tripple the contacts on 10m this year compared to last year. SWR on 10m was 1.8 as measured with my MFJ-259B. I am very happy with my new antenna.

B+ Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have been using this antenna in an attic over the garage for about 6 months. SWR is "OK". Nothing to brag about. I use a tuner to flatten out swr and no problems there. Can work about anyone I can hear, but it seems to be a bit hard of hearing.

Seems to work a lot better on the higher frequencies. As a matter of fact, I use an Isotron for 80/40, and contrary to just about everyone else's reviews, works just fine.

Don't tell me you need to spend hundreds of dollars to work DX. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I'm fairly new to HF, despite having been involved in ham radio for 13 years. When I first got my HF rig, I purchased a very expensive vertical. I was disappointed, I could only make PSK31 contacts and no DX.

George at AES encouraged me to get a G5RV Jr, as I am restricted by space and a Home Owners Association. After much skepticism, I spend the $30 and brought it home. I have the G5RV Jr mounted on a TV mast up about 24ft in an inverted V configuration. I plugged it into my Kenwood TS480SAT with the LDG AT200 Autotuner and WOW! Mad DX!

When I first got it, I could only tune 6M - 40M, but when I changed the coax length from 50ft to 100ft, I am able to tune 6M - 80M, including 60M with flat SWRs. Also when I increased the coax length, the reception seemed to improve.

I would recommend this antenna to anyone! It's a great way to go, especially if you're new to HF. You'll be amazed with what you can do with a wire outside your window.

Buy this antenna!

OK antenna Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Going from a home with a stellar antenna farm to an apartment was surly a sad situation for me and my amateur radio hobby. I now live on the top floor of an apartment and was able to get permission to instal a wire antenna. I chose a G5RV Jr. by Radio Wavz. It was afordable so I thought I would give it a try. Using a MFJ artifical ground and antenna tuner I am able to tune this antenna up on 80,40,30, 20 and some of 15 & 10 meters. When conditions are fair I have worked as far as Japan and in normal conditions have to really work to get out. I have a big moutian behind me to the East but radiate good to the West. Construction of the antenna looks cheap at first but it has held up through the winter ice and winds. I must comment that I only have it up 20 feet on the roof and not the reccomended 35 feet. so I am sure this halters the performance. All in all I think it is a fine antenna for the money and application. If you can only have one antenna and have limited space this is an OK antenna.

Good small antenna. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I have gotten many 5/9 signal reports from Europe and South America on this antenna. I primarily use the antenna on 20, 17, and 10 meters. It does not work well for me on 15 meters. At first look this antenna is a disappointment as it looks and feels cheep. But then I realized the copper clad steel wire is tough. So the end and center insulators are made from cheap plastic. It works and is light weight and the black insulation makes it nearly invisible up in the trees. If you have limited space and want a multi-band antenna...this one is pretty good for 30 bucks.

My Icom 746pro tunes this antenna on all bands nicely. But it still does not seem to radiate well on 15 meters.

I give it a 4 because of my experience on the 15 meter band. A station that is s9 on my homemade 15m dipole may only top s1 or 2 with this antenna.

Great antenna for the $$ Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Over the last month, I've been using this antenna
with an Icom 746 and LDG AT-200Pro autotuner.
Though the antenna is rated to work 10-40m, I've
had no problems making contacts on 80m and 6m (yes, 6m). It's well built to withstand the elements and
at 40ft above ground, its been working flawlessly.
This is a great value for the money!
