Excellent batteries at a great price Time Owned: more than 12 months.
MK/Deka makes a tremendous product at the most reasonable price. I bought a couple AGM's, and happen to prefer them over the true gel cells for my purposes. Gel cells will give you more cycles, no question at all. But they cannot be charged nearly as rapidly without destroying them, so if quick turnaround is critical or you even need to take advantage of their exceptionally low internal resistance for high output (like engine starting!) then the AGM might be the way to go. If charging is gently controlled at ALL times then gel will be just your ticket. Otherwise both share most other benefits (truly sealed- no water adding needed, & both spillproof)& are an excellent value and very high quality- you cannot go wrong with MK.

WOW Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Talk about backup power. We purchased 4 of these to backup a telephone system. After seeing them I purchased 2 for my station. Each have a 73ah rating and a rated at over 6000 10% discharge cycles. Looks and feels like a car battery, but safer because it is a no spill gelled. I am quite impressed with the capacity. Combine with the PoweGate PG40 these batteries make an outstanding backup power solution. Spend the extra 10 bucks and get the gell like i did rather then the AGM. The gells tripple the expected life cycle of the AGM types.
