Great for mobile matching Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Would have made my own but was in hurry and got this unit, matches my G-Whip mobile antennas very well, however failed after 1 month, took it apart and usual MFJ quality control problems, earth tag had not been soldered properly!, also fitted by-pass switch so you did not need to unscrew connectors to check basic resonance before applying correction. Switch also bad quality and was not even screwed tight. Having rebuilt it quite a useful unit!

Don’t throw it at the wall just yet ! I went thru the same drill last night and had a thought ! !

K0BG Allen , has been tutoring me too and remember that most antennas are made longer

to see the 50 ohm match. By change it with the transformer, look for the match up the band.

It may be some where else for I have not play with this little gem very long. You really need the

MFJ 259 B to watch the reactance go very close to zero before using the 907 box. Then every thing

jump some where else. At this point you re-tune the stinger to the part of the band you wish to operate.

I have a Bugcather on 40 mtrs that shows 20 ohms. Letter ( F ) brought it to 1.2 VSWR / 52 ohms and

the reactance of < 2 >. I have to credit Allan for getting me on track with the mobile technology. I should of scored it 4.5 for the mushy switch, but that's MFJ for you !
