2 year old 2016 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Yes, they are, replaced an A99 and Imax with a 2016. Much less ground noise, more RF gain for receive and amazingly broad banded, I go well into the 10-meter band with it and have an SWR below 1.3 without my tuner and into the 20m band with my tuner no problem. It also does 6m exceptionally well, how, I don't know it just does.

VERY GOOD ANTENNA! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I built the antenna last week and we installed it last Sat
tested it on Sunday, am happy with results, it works on all of 10m using when using the radios tuner it works on 12-15-17-20-40m its a great antenna for an antenna that does not take up to much space, incoming signal are clear and loud.......

Built well, performs well, best ground owned Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I consider this antenna to be one of the best, if not the best. I've had no issues with the sections coming apart or acting up. I live in a very windy area. No complaints.

Build quality, best compared to most all antenna I own. This one is built tough. The ground plane sections need some attention when you're working with this antenna, if not careful, you could get poked in the face. Make sure to take the time to place the rubber tips on all rods.

Performance. This is an interesting antenna. It's very wide and offers a load of punch in the signal. I noticed some people have tuned out of band, but myself, I use it for 10m. Impressive on all sections of the band. You can adjust the tip with an allen key and get up to the FM portion if needed.

Impressive buy, performs well and compared to other antennas, this had a better build quality.

It works as a multi-band vertical, BUT... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Update 5/2023

I had to take the antenna down due to fluctuating SWR readings. I found the sheet metal screws that connect the sections had wallowed out the holes to the point that some had become slots and the sections were loose. We live in a windy area. The connecting sections were also a bit dark as though there was some carbon buildup from running 500W+ with poor connections between the sections. What I did was disassemble the antenna, clean the sections with a Scotch Brite pad, throw the screws away and cut a slot with an angle grinder in each section and reassemble with SS hose clamps. This is how the antenna should have been made in the first place. It is now very solid and I expect it to hold up better.

My original comments still stand about this antenna being able to be tuned from 40M to 10M. I had several CW contacts tonight on 40M with good signal reports.

Original Review

I've had this antenna assembled and up for 1 month and am very happy and surprised with it's performance. I can tune all bands from 40M-10M with the TS-590S internal tuner in about 1 second. I've had good signal reports on 40M, 20M and the higher bands. Build quality is good and assembly was straightforward. For those of you who may turn up your noses at the Sirio verticals thinking they're CB antennas, I can vouch for the 2016's performance on the HF bands. I have the antenna mounted on a 10' pole on a chimney mount about 25'-30' above ground level. We live on a windy hill and between the slight flex in the pole and the antenna it has done very well in the wind. I would recommend this for 10M and lower bands as well if you have a tuner.

Great working antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Assembly was simple, matching well on 10m out of the box. I used the tuner guide and just pushed the tip down as low as it would go, so it accepts everything from 28.000 to 29.7 under 2.5:1 swr. It favors the lower end of the band and ssb portion, so if you really need 1:1 on the fm portion of the band it may need cutting. However, I highly suggest using a tuner instead, and here is why.

Using a tuner with its current settings, I match this antenna on 10, 15, 17, 20, and 40m. None of these bands are above 4:1 swr, except for part of 40m. With the external LDG AT-200 tuner they're all brought down to 1:1 with ease. I frequently get into West Asia, Russia, Eastern Europe, South Africa, the middle east, and everything in-between with this antenna and only 100w ssb, 50w data. That's on all the bands I have listed. Whoever tells you this antenna cannot be used on 40m, they're wrong. Whoever tells you it will suck, they're wrong. A buddy of mine has the same antenna and took down his double bazooka inverted V for 40m because the Sirio was doing a better job.

This antenna seems to shine the best when mounted at 30 feet (at the base of the antenna) or higher. Due to my living situation, I only have it at 20ft up from the ground. It works well, but a little more altitude does wake the antenna up a bit. If you're able to do so, I highly suggest it. I just can't without guy wires.

I'll also point out that POTA is very easy with this antenna and a simple tripod or mast to set up in your truck or on the beach. However, the screws that come with it seem to dig into the aluminum every time you take it down and put it back up. That being said, if you're creative it makes a great portable, since it can be taken down and assembled quickly.

10/11m Amazing antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've had my sirio 2016 for around three years now .
I live on the West coast of Scotland here in the UK where the winds are not the kindest .

I've had two Sirio gain masters snap on me at my location and wanting to get away from the static riddled fiberglass I decided to go for either the Sirio 827 or the Sirio 2016 .

The Sirio 827 groundplanes were just too long for where the antenna was to be mounted ( hoisted over the neighbors garden , jammed against the bottom brickwork and 'walked up' til it was upright , then walking with it over to a reinforced washing pole and ubolting in three places )

There were too many telephone cables and other obstructions for those long groundplanes to tangle on.

So, the 2016 was chosen , due to its groundplanes being shorter and less chance of tangling or snagging on things on the way up to it's resting place.

OK the antenna itself like the other guys have said is well built , the aluminum used in this antenna is proper.
I use a run of 40ft of messi and paoloni ultraflex 7 which depending on the length I roll it up to moves the tuning of the antenna .

One week I can get 40 meters and 17 meters , I roll the coax in and coil it the next week I can get 30m,6m,4m all of course with the usual 10m,11m,12m . This is some antenna , amazing antenna in fact .

The build quality is decent and Sirio have not held back.
The only let down being the self tappers that go through the plastic sleeves and hold the aluminium sections together .
These tiny self tappers are awful and make the holes in the aluminum bigger each time they are entered .
Two of these screws oxidized also so the second from the top section in just amalgamated together with tape .
This is the only bad thing i can say which is relatively minor.

A lot of the guys have either drilled bolt and nuts through their sections or sawed them and put jubilee/hose clamps around them .
Performance of the antenna :

I easily reach Glasgow city around 35 miles from my current location . The antenna performs well for inter g and further abroad.
I have made contacts in USA , China , Japan , Thailand , Indonesia ,Australia and New Zealand all with the Sirio 2016 .

It is always a surprise when the qso asks what working conditions on 20m and you say a Sirio 2016 CB antenna . 10m is superb VSWR is 1:1:0 -1:5:1 throughout 10 metre band .

For the price you get your moneys worth . I will buy another as a spare .

I highly recommend this

Excellent build quality Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a fantastic antenna. I was at first going to get a gainmaster but after hearing of the many broken ones it was a choice between the Sirio 2016 and the sirio 827 and I chose the 2016, and I am glad I did.
The antenna has more radials than the 827 but they are much shorter and much sturdier, the build quality of the antenna is excellent and oozes quality, the large Decoupled static protected coil is protected from the elements in a breathable clear plastic case. I had a static problem on my previous antenna and this was completely gone on this antenna, signals were also significantly up compared to my old half wave, this antenna will also swr 1.1 on 12/15/20/ and 40 meter band with excellent reports on 40 meters using just 10w. A swr of 1.8 was obtained on 80 meters using a LDG at 200 pro 2.
This is a excellent antenna and the buyer will not be disappointed.
If you want a antenna that can match the gainmaster but doesn't break and has radials but not the footprint of the 827 and will one that will work multi band this is a antenna to seriously consider

Follow up! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This is a follow up review 6 months later! Still going strong and the SWR's have not changed! It has survived tornado winds of around 80+ MPH! NO LIE!!! I live in OKC Oklahoma, and I seen this antenna bent WAY over, and once the storm passed it stood back up straight! Sirio has the strength, and is still going strong! These antennas are built to last!

real multiband Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I had it years and years ago to dxing on cb. A few monthes I buy it for 28MHz and I was really surprised to can use it on 14 and 7MHz without tuning. Yesterday I maked QSO's on 50MHz without tuning with a lot of hams. I can use it from 50.000 to 50.800. After I can not. Too high swr. I decided to buy now the Sirio Tornado 5060 for 6m. I will receive it in a few days. I hope it will be so good as the 2016.

Worth it's money Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Best monoband vertical I ever worked with. Does a great job on 10m, has excellent bandwith and good performance. It's a sturdy antenna that survived over 8 years in our windy climate.
