A cool handy tool for any ham Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought one of these at "China Mart" a few years ago so i didnt have to drag my regular soldering iron outside to do mobile soldering work. It comes in a package that includes the torch (of course!) butane lighter, book, a can of butane, and soldering tips. The soldering tips work well, but you need to let the tip really get warm to be of any use for general soldeing. It works great for those outside soldering jobs or for soldering PL 259s. I have also used the torch a few times for shrink tubing and some copper pipe work. Overall, im a pretty happy camper with this tool.
