Best HF Mobile antenna made! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have owned a 680 now for well over a year and I must say that it's the best HF mobile antenna I have owned. the quality of construction, reliability and repeatability is outstanding. Buying an antenna like this from a smaller company, you buy a relationship as well. In this case, Scorpion's Ron Douglass is a reflection of his antenna quality. His post sale support is outstanding. I recently upgraded to his "Black Widow" version of the 680 and have yet to install it. However I have no doubt that it will work just as well and my original 680 which was serial number 1. I highly recommend Ron and his antenna line. You won't be disappointed.

Well Packaged, Well Built, Getting Excellent Results/Reports Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The first thing I noticed was the extra mile Ron took over the phone to answer my questions and help me decide what antenna to buy, The second thing I noticed was the Packaging, it was top notch! The third thing I noticed was the quality of this antenna. It is breaming with quality workmanship. The fourth thing I noticed with this antenna is the contacts I was making with a Yaseu FT 857 D in a 07' GMC Crew Cab 4x4. This is my first mobile Ham unit so have nothing to compare it with actually but what I can say is today, July 4th, I have been able to talk from Louisiana up the east coast and central US and out west to Texas. Held a conversation with N1RPH up in MN like we were in the same room. Granted! Conditions had a lot to do with it but the signal reports I've gotten with this setup are almost to good to be true. And to top it off I'm not even complete with the install yet. I have only began the bonding process of my vehicle as recommended by K0BG's mobile site.
I installed this antenna on a home made bracket mounted right behind the cab and in the center, when all the way retracted the top of the antenna coils is about 10" above the cab. So far this not caused any problems. I will update this post as time goes by.

Outstanding antenna and service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have had nothing but outstanding and sometimes unbelievable signal reports. The antenna is absolutely the highest quaility and best performing I have seen to date. This antenna is not bullet proof its bomb proof! If that was not enough Ron's customer service is unbelievable. Its refreshing to see someone more interested in the hobby and customers satisfaction that the almighty dollar. After seeing, installing and using this antenna I think Ron must be losing money because the build is outstanding!!! Kudo's Ron and 73s.

Installing the Scorpion on my tower was a simple process with a low profile. These are two SA-680 antennas that are butted together with a quality T-bar supplied by Scorpion. The quality of the antenna is excellent with the stainless parts and hardware. This antenna tunes quite easily with minimal SWR. I have been to the Scorpion supplier's shop and can attest to his attention to detail in building these antennas ... one at a time. The Scorpion is superb in quality, warranty and appearance.

Installing the Scorpion on my vehicle has proven
itself and opened the door to great HF mobiling
adventures. This antenna requires a good solid
mount, so will require some mount engineering depending on the vehicle. The quality of the antenna is super with the stainless parts and hardware. Operating from my driveway on 20 mtrs,
I have made contacts all over the U.S., and Europe with great reports running 100 watts.
This antenna tunes quite easily while driving
and easy to obtain a very minimal SWR. I had
read reviews on other screwdriver antennas
but decided on the Scorpion for quality, warranty, and appearance.
