Good Charger Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
A previous version had some problems that have been corrected in the new version. So far mine has worked flawlessly. Great for identifying battery capacities and pairing batteries based on capacity to get maximum runtime from each pair. I have used the refresh function with success on some batteries and able to identify weaker batteries for disposal. Maha chargers are a better choice if you want C and D charging capability or an 8-battery capacity charger. Great buy from Amazon.com. or Thomas Distributing.

Seems to work Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just unpacked it and it seems to be working. the null feature disappears after being on for recharging after a minute or two on the initial charge. Reflects previous statements about the Null position being charged. It states this in the manual.

Exellent charger for low price! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.

I have exactly the same charger, but mine is carrying another name (European?); Voltcraft IPC-1.

Together with my two children I use this charger almost every day and our opinion is: this is an excellent charger with a lot of features for just a very little price.

Recommended in every way!

AVOID Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Obtained a new one from Amazon.... Unit was indeed new in the box yet it had difficulty recognizing (and charging) fully depleted cells. Unit lcd display read "null" on good NiMh cells that were depleted (run down) that my Maha 401 cool charger had no problem recognizing and charging. I called Lacrosse tech assitance and they confirmed this is design matter and the unit I had was not defective for that particular issue. I read on the Amazon review site that other people encountered the same problem but got around it by first charging depleted cells in another (not BC-900) charger in order to raise the voltage a bit then stick them back in the BC-900. A BIG HASSLE! The BC-900 is on the way back to Amazon and........Im staying with my Maha 401 cool charger!
