Good, honest ham, good product. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased one of Ron's 7" monitors for use with my Icom-7000. His current advertised price is $89 plus shipping for the remaining units he has in stock. Ron is as "up front" and honest as you can find, it was/is a pleasure to do business with him. He very promptly replies to any inquiries/emails.

If you have an IC-7000 and would like a larger screen, the 7" monitor is hard to beat. Dealing with Ron is hard to beat too! Thanks Ron.

Buyer Beware Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought mine paid 145.00 Us including the shipping. Used it for about 2 hours in total and it died. Call him and was told only a 30 warranty so I had a reputable tech look at it for me and the curcuit board was covered in white residue which is called whiskering caused by using solder with no lead content and not being cleaning properly. These units are refurbished and please be careful because they will eventually short out due to the whiskering if not cleaned . Mine is the microprocessor and is not repairable. I am very disapointed in the no after service I had it a little over a month and as I said only got to use ti for about 2 hours in total.

It produced a viewing area that is full color and is about 15 tomes larger than the IC-7000's monitor. His product includes all cables needed to interface to the IC-7000 as well as three different monitor stands, a 117 volt a/c to 12 volt DC wall wart, a 12 volt cigar lighter plug and finished cable, remote control and full instructions for interfacing to the IC-7000. THE MONITORE I HAVE BEEN USING WITH THE IC7000 IS FROM HALFORDS UK, IT COSTS £59.99,IT WORKS A TREAT AND COMES WITH ALL THE BITS,YOU CAN ADJUST THE PICTURE FROM WIDE SCREEN TO NORMAL,IT LOOKS GOOD ALONG SIDE THE RADIO SAME SURROUND COLOR, THE MODEL IS VENTURER DVD SLAVE SCREEN PVS7981S.

I purchased one of his monitors and it arrived well packed, in a timely manner, and with specific instructions regarding interface to the IC 7000. The interface cable was also provided.

The particular model I received from him was the Michley 7". Works great, looks great, and adds pleasure to using the IC 7000.

Great color monitor! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
As an Icom 7000 owner I've been very satisfied with how well it performs, but before long the 2" display became irritable looking at.

That's when I came across a classified for this 7" color monitor. K1HZ modifies these TFT color monitors for the IC7000. The unit is made by Curtis model RT700. So far I'm very happy with it, and I recommend doing yourself a favor in getting one. The older you get the harder it is too see. Why make it any worse!

Ron Harris is a ham pleasure to do business with, and am glad I came across his add. At a low cost of $115. shipped I didn't go wrong.
