Not worth the $$			Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This vertical antenna is not worth the money. For a change from normal MFJ's lack of QC all the hardware was packaged and OK quality. However, assembly is tedious and overall performance is lacking. MFJ says it is a 40 to 2 meter vertical. It does do OK on six and two meters and 10 meters isn't bad but on the lower bands, not so much. You need a good antenna tuner to get it to operate any place on 40 meters. Bandwidth on 40 is very narrow, only a few KHz and the lowest SWR I could get was 2.2:1 after lots of tinkering. It is NOT a keeper.

Waste of Money and Time			Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Over the years, I've gotten used to the overall poor quality of MFJ products. No QC. But this antenna hits a new low. I won't waste a lot of time reviewing it, because I've already wasted several hours with assembly. Instructions reference figures that are not to be found, even on website. Extra parts that do not have assembly instructions, i.e. spokes of 3 lengths, standoffs. Poor hole alignment. Instructions incomplete, like they took MFJ-1796 instructions and attempted to adapt to WARC version. Poor mechanical design. A portable antenna at best, or perhaps indoors, assuming you want to spend time getting it to work, if it ever would. My best shot at building this antenna yielded 4.4mhz, and 9.6mhz as resonant pts 1st try. Nothing even close to 12/17m. We'll see if the dealer or MFJ wants to give me a refund for this pile of junk.
