For me anyway, it's second only to the Kent single lever paddle Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Now that I'm getting a bit long in the tooth, I'm discovering that my tastes vis-a-vis paddles are changing. It seems that I'm just not comfortable any more with iambic paddles of any make or model, and I've tried and/or bought many of them. I've been making a gradual shift towards single lever paddles. I have the Vibroplex VibroKeyer, the Begali HST single lever, the Schurr Einhebel, and others I can't even remember. The aforementioned paddles are good to be sure, but for some inexplicable reason I like the Kent the most. I suspect it's the rigid arm and finger pieces that my aging paws prefer. For me anyway, performance is not always directly proportional to price. Your results may vary, of course. However, I just couldn't bring myself to give the Schurr four out of five stars; the difference between this one and the Kent is just so slim.

The best single paddle there ever will be Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
WOW believe me when I say the Einhebel blows everything out of the box. I have tried many many single paddle keys. For the longest time I used a single paddle Jones key which I purchased new. Well this was my prize, my baby and I thought there could never be another key for me. A few weeks ago I recieved my Scheunemann Morsetasten Einhebel single paddle key. What a work of art. Not only beautiful but super smooth. With other paddles at around 30WPM I would get an extra Dit or Dah. I cant believe Ilm sending great code with the Einhebel. It actually put the excitement in sending CW back in my life. Its solid, stable, and what a feel. Trust me, there is nothing and I mean nothing better out there for single paddle perfectionists. This key will be me favorite for the rest of my life because you cannot improve on perfection

W2RRT Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
There are no words to describe this paddle. I only have this paddle two days. It was so well packaged, it took me a little time to open it. It took me five minutes to adjust it to my liking.Operating it was flawless. Uli you are a master craftsman. I cannot describe it. It operates great and looks beautiful. Thank you Uli You did a great job.

Great Single Lever key Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The search for a good single lever paddle has been going on for several years. Bencher, Kent, Vibrokeyer and Begali were all tried over the years. I finally settled on a Bencher but was resigned to less than stellar performance. The Begali Simplex Mono held the most promise and was beautiful to look at. Unfortunately, I just could not consistently send good code with it. I invited a great friend who is hard core cw man to use it, thinking that somehow I just did not know how to adjust it properly. When he was done, it sent beautiful code until the next morning and even he had problems with it. Someone has posted on the Begali reviews about the position of the centering post and the difficulty in engineering (non bounce)contacts. Anyway, I gave it up and sold it. Schurr came out with the Einhebel and I was quick to pick one up. What a pleasure! It looks great and adjustments were quick and easy. When running pileups, I no longer sound like someone who had too much wine or was trying to send faster than my capability. I am pleased with key and highly recommend to any of the remaining single lever purists! 73 Tom K6CT/CX7TT
