|This is one of the lowest cost hand held spectrum analysers on the market, yet still offers a very good specification. Mine had a problem with random spurious signals, being able to speak with the workshop and design staff at TTi was very encouraging, the repair and return via a UK dealer was handled very efficiently and even included free collection from my house. TTi phoned to update me on their findings, service beyond expectation.|
The web site includes a full specification and user manual. Firmware updates are also available from the web site.
The resolution bandwidth isn't as narrow as the more expensive units, but for harmonic and other spurious signal checking it's great.
I have only rated this a "4" on the basis that (a) it developed a fault soon after delivery and (b) while doing everything the specification says it should, it feels and looks a bit cheap... Which I guess it is!
Most of the dealers seem to sell these at the recommended price, it's worth checking around as in the UK they can be found for 751 GBP delivered (inc tax) - March 2008 price from Rapid Electronics.
