12 channel 10-15W FM mobiles Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Clegg marketed a 2m (I can't remember the model) and a 220 10W FM mobile, the FM-76 or the "76er". All were 12 channel crystal controlled radios with helical front ends, good IF filtering and trimmers on all crystals. The 76er was identical inside to the Midland 13-509, a popular starting point for homebew 220 repeaters at one time. The Cobra 200 was also very similar to the 76er and shared the silver color scheme. The 509 was beige and had an odd color brown face. All variations shared a 1W low-power/10-15W hi-power switch and a large meter.
No heatsink sticking out the back, 4-pin microphone-style jack for metering or whatever on the back, and an external speaker jack. Even with no heatsink, these radios never seem to get beyond lukewarm.
