Awesome stock mic Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This model came stock on my FT-747, and has been used on other radios (with adapters).

Plenty of QSOs under the dam, and lots of contesting from the mobile (under my former KS3Y call), and I love these mics...always unsolicited reports of great audio.

Sadly, I've misplaced both, and the auction site sellers want stupid money for them.

Guess I'll have to hack apart a MH-31 B8 and put another element in it. (that mic is as wrong as this one is right!)

Great Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I use on my FT-890
The reports are very good.
It's a simple but rugged microphone by Yaesu.
Outstanding for qso and dx also (1 or 2 position switch)

Good Stock Mic. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This is the stock microphone for the FT-840. I have received many unsolicited excellent audio reports many times, which have impressed me a lot!
So if you´re looking for a nice and cheap one, this is the one to get!

I rated it as 5 (Great), because the plastics are very robust and so the buttons, aswell the good audio quality for its price.

Good for your shack and also very handy for field.
