Description:
DX Engineering Premium Grade cable assemblies are built in Ohio with high quality Silver/Teflon crimp/solder connectors installed at each end. An adhesive lined shrink tubing is used to form a weather- resistant bond between the connector body and the coax. Each assembly is then 100% Hi-Pot high voltage tested to guarantee a quality cable assembly you can count on. DX Engineering brand cable is made in the USA to exacting specifications for the highest quality, longest reliable service. Both standard lengths and custom cable/connector assemblies are available from the DX Engineering web site.

Excellent product Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
It's been at least 15 years since I bought coax or connectors (off the air for those years). We have no candy store nearby as we did long ago, so I turned to DX and ordered their coax. I've bought some other items from them to include the radial plate and a tuner and found their service to be quick and excellent. I ordered on the Internet on a Wednesday evening and had my order on Friday. The coax I bought - RG8X - is just as good as what I bought years ago from another manufacturer. I expected a compromise on the braid but it is sufficient and quality for the price. I've made several jumper cables using this coax and also the pl259 connectors and found it very easy to work with and solder. It cut easy and trimmed up nice. I highly recommend buying your odds and ends cables and connectors from DX Engineering. I will order from them again in the future!

Good News / Bad News Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Mine is a different experience. Mind you I still rate them a 5 because they deserve it. But some time back I ordered a 100 foot run of RG8X and a small pigtail to use on a new vertical antenna. When I got it up, it had absolutely no receive signals whatsoever. The MFJ259 showed no resonance anywhere.

I figured I did something wrong somewhere and took the antenna back down - 3 times! Still a chore despite the DX Eng. tilt base. I finally got an ohmeter and started checking. The coax run showed fine, but there was no connection between the center conductor and the vertical.

I used a barrel connector between the pigtail and the coax and figured it was bad. Nope - checked fine. Then I unplugged the coax from the barrel and lo and behold, no connection between the center of the barrel and the antenna. Something was open in the 19 inch DX Eng. pigtail. (I'm sure somebody knows the problem already)

I looked carefully and lo and behold the center conductor was not soldered to the center of the coaxial connector. This straight from DX. A little heat and solder and everything was great.

This long story just highlights that nobody is exempt from making mistakes or overlooking things. Even me! I should have examined the pigtail more closely. Whoever assembled it should have inspected it more carefully. Oh well, an old lesson relearned. Still a worthy company with excellent products.

Good price, free shipping, quick delivery Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just completed a project to put a 6 meter antenna on a 20 foot mast. I am sharing an existing cable run with my nearby vertical antenna with the addition of a remote antenna switch so I only needed 50 feet of coax. I purchased a 50 foot coax assembly of the 400MAX low loss coax. The cost was competitive with other suppliers of similar coax without connectors. Adding in the fact that DXE ships their cable assemblies free of charge makes it a no brainer. The assembly looks and works great and they shipped it the same day.

happy with quality of products Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The coax (8X) is exactly what I ordered and is of excellent quality. Also, a while back, I ordered your ground radial plate with the set of 20 wires and hardware. Its attached to my vertical and is working just fine.

Thanks, Mike

Excellent Quality and Super Service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently purchased a section of DXE-213 coax to use in building a RF choke. This coax with the Solid Polyethylene dielectric suited my needs perfectly. DX Engineering is a solid performer not only in supplying Coax but has a very good supply of almost every Ham related item available. I highly recommend DX Engineering as a price completive supplier with expedient service.

Outstanding Quality Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The assembled cables with connectors are well made. I bought one 100 foot for feeding my temporary antennas outside and a couple of 3 and 6 footers for connecting transmitters (boat anchors, I might add) to my antenna tuner. I'm finished making my own cables – DX Engineering cables are much better - TOP QUALITY at a great price

I also purchased the MFJ-259B antenna analyzer a few months ago from DX Engineering for a very good price.

Good Quality and Fast Shipping Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I needed to replace my feedline and started looking around online for a source of RG-213U. I was happy to find that DX Engineering was offering free shipping on their coax products. My ordered shipped the same day and was delivered in two days.

The cable itself is very good quality, as are the connectors, and everything seems to have been well constructed. They will be my source for coax from now on.
