It DOES live up to its reputation Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just as an update, and some further learning about the antenna:

First of all, this thing plays well! In this past weekend June VHF contest, we worked an unprecedented number of grids, and many of the new ones were relatively close in. The stations worked were dirt weak - but the 6M7JHV helped pull them out. We felt that at times the beamwidth is actually narrower than specified, but the gain is gangbusters. And the F/B is amazing.

As far as the antenna being too light duty, this antenna took a nice fall as the tower was being cranked down (a tower leg bent and the whole thing took off). Despite a hefty impact sideways into the element ends, not one of them bent and there was no other visible damage.

I have upgraded my score to a 5.0 - very highly recommended antenna!

Helps you Hear through local noise! Time Owned: unknown months.
I have two 6M7JHV's stacked at 120' and 138' on a 4160 galvanised mast. The three overwhelming reasons to select these antennas were:
1) Great pattern when short-stacked @ 18 feet apart.
2) No more wind load than a long 2 meter yagi.
3) More gain than the single 40' long 6M2WL that I had up before.

The 6M2WL was a great antenna, but this pair of 6M7JHV's is quieter (due to better side-lobe control as a short stacked pair) and works much better on tropo due to being able to have a 6 meter antenna at the top of the mast through low windload. This antenna is a performance wonder that should appeal to anyone who is the least bit serious about six meters. A pair is even better!

Super Six Meter Yagi! Time Owned: unknown months.
I have had the M2 6M7JHV up for about a year-and-a-half. It is up at 38 feet. It is a great performer and the mechanical construction is excellent. The driven element block is a work of art. The yagi is superior to Cushcraft and other brands. In the time that I've had the 6M7JHV, I've worked 47 states and two dozen countries with only 100 watts via: sporadic-E, F2, TEP, meteors, aurora, etc. The DX includes: 3D2AG, FO0TOH, TX0DX, N6XQ/CP1, A35, KH6, KL7, WP4, TI, VK, ZL, VP2E, and several JA call districts. This antenna is a winner!
