Good HT SMA Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Ordered mine directly from Ebay and was shipped directly from Hong Kong, $6.95 plus shipping. Good Quality and works good on my FT-250, has SMA connection to match new HT's.
Into a Repeater this 10.5 inch gain antenna is showing over 3 db better on receieve over this distant repeater in the next county. Took 8 days to arrive from Hong Kong and you can track on USPS tracking system.

Value + Quality Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought it from a dealer in Hong Kong (Ebay)Nice duck, as stated, rather long, but I knew that going in. I use it when I have my VX 170 inside my house. I get about a S-2 to S-3 improvement over the stock antenna. Seems to be quality construction.

Great bang for buck!!! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I live in an RF blackhole in ALice SPrings... and on my VX7R's antenna could't even tickle the repeater... found these cheap antennas in an Adelaide Ham shop and for 20 bucks picked up one to try... It not only worked brilliantly, it also has just been used on the Yorke Peninsula where I was able to hit all repeaters in Adelaide using the VX7R and the Nagoya NA-771 antenna... clear and clean! Then to push a relationship I tried it on a UHF CB rig and the damn thing worked simplex on 5 watts into north Adelaide which is a distance of 50kms... (I'm beggining to believe this will do HF as well :-) So.... this thing is built well, receives great; gets the signal OUT loud and clear... I really can't fault it and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality HT antenna!!

Very good Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I use this antenna with my VX7. Its rather long, but not to long ;-). You can ad the handhelt to your belt and will not be bothered by the antenna. Its strong enough to hold upright. On 2/70 the antenna is a bit better than the stock, outside the hambands, its remarkably better than the rubbyducky from yaesu. Hardware quality is also ok - so it gets 5by5 :-)

Decent Piece of Gear Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I bought this antenna on a whim through EBay for my VX-7R. The rubber duck that came with the rig has always been fine, was just curious to see if this antenna would make a difference. It does indeed, a couple of units stronger as measured by the meter on the rig. So, it works fine and as advertised. It is longer and thinner though so you get a little bit of wagging back and forth as a tradeoff. In marginal / fringe situations this antenna would help, I'll keep it in the ready box for use if I need it.
