Great antenna - awesome price Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've only had it up a few days, but it's essentially identical to a Diamond X50.. at half the cost. I'm working local repeaters through heavy trees on 1 watt from an HT with this antenna mounted on the eave of a 1st story roof (About 12 feet in the air)

Great antenna for the price Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had my JTB-3 up for just over 2 years now and it has performed flawlessly. Antenna is up on a 50 foot tower in North-Central Indiana...so it has see it all...snow,ice,wind,rain,thunderstorms,hail...it's
like a Timex watch.."it takes a licking and keeps on ticking". I would highly recommend this antenna to anyone. I like the one-piece design..no joints to have potential problems with.

Get its done well Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Would recommend this antenna. Fair
price, good build quality, everything
snugs up nicely. Would be ideal for
attic. Small enough for portable
ops, no hassle setup.

Performance is great. Can hit repeaters
125 miles away. Definitely saw gain
over previous antenna being used.
Cant comment on 440 use as I dont use
440.

Total delivered from J and L was $61.
No two meter op should be without one.

Buy again - you bet......

Impressed with Jetstream antennas...

Great Value, Affordable Choice! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Works just as good as the Diamond X50 which costs twice as much!! Side by side there is very little difference between them. The Jetstream actually has a thicker aluminum mounting tube and the radials have a threaded ferrule on them instead of being threaded with a nut to lock it in place like my Diamond X50 i compared it to.

There also seems to be a better fit from the base of the antenna to the inside of the mounting tube then the Diamond, there isn't any slop and the single bolt holds it nice and tight. Had to slot the top of the tube and put a hose clamp around it on the Diamond to make a nice tight wobble free fit.

Overall performance seems to be about the same on both bands between the two. I have been running mine on APRS on the VHF side, digipeater, and a local low power repeater on the UHF side. Doesn't suffer from any noise in duplex use and overall just works great!

Another note on the construction, the fiberglass seems to be a smidge thicker on the Jetstream then the Diamond is. Time will tell if that helps durability, its been through some winter ice loading without worries already.

Save your money, buy the Jetstream for half the price of the competition!!
