Works perfectly Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Ordered the Digi-mode 1 for using digital modes on an IC775DSP. After 2 surgeries on my mouth, I am no longer able to speak clearly. The conversational digital modes are now my way to stay active on the airwaves. The interface is as close to 'plug and play' you can get. The customer service at Xggcomms is second to none. This is the place to get your interface if you want to get on the air with digital modes, I will recommend Xggcomms to anyone. Thank you Steve, de KI4YOB

Great basic interface! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I purchased this interface in 2009 and it hasn't let me down since. This cable is simple and just works. I initially bought it to run PSK31 on my IC-756ProII and lately I've been using it on FT8. It provides cat control, PTT and sound card interface. Always make sure to turn your mic gain down or disconnect your microphone though, when PTT is active your mic will be hot so I simply leave my mic disconnected unless I'm actually using it.

Yes it's older but it still works great and I have zero complaints. I just ordered a new cable from XGGCOMMS simply because having a cable that has a built in sound card is nicer and this old cable will now be used in my mobile station, I built an adapter cable so I can use this on my IC-706MKIIG.
I don't believe the price has gone up on this cable since I bought it in 2009, which is amazing.

Outstanding Product Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I spent months late in 2020 trying to get my Xiegu G90 to operate on digital modes with no luck. Sought advice from Facebook groups, .io groups, Reddit, you name it no joy.
Then, tax season hit (my old call was W8CPA) and digi experiments fell by the wayside.

I ran across a recommendation for Steve's (G8XGG) XGGCOMMS Digital Interface. Did a wee bit of study and ordered one. Took about eight days to arrive from Great Britain..no big deal there.

Within thirty minutes of setup, following Steve's instructions religiously, and a few very minor tweeks to the Xiegu, was making contacts on FT8. Not just in the states, but in Europe, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. With a better antenna (just using a vertical), I can see world-wide contacts.

Unusual in today's day and age to find a product that works as advertised right out of the box. Very highly recommend this product if you're struggling with digital and Xiegu.

Excellent Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just purchased the XGGCOMM cable. Took 2 weeks for it to arrive here in the U.S.A. It was a tricky set up at first took me about 1-2 hours to read, and hook everything up. Once you read the instructions, it all was a breeze. Great cable, easy to hook up to your computer. I am operating a Icom 718.

Excellent product Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This will be my 3rd cable purchased through XGGCOMMS. Two were for ICOM transceivers and the 3rd for a Kenwood.
Steve and his XYL Linda do a great job making these cables. They come color coded when necessary and provide fully detailed connection and setup procedures. In the slim chance you have questions, Steve will gladly take the time to answer them and walk you through the process.
I recommend them to all my Ham friends.

Works well!! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Using one of Steve’s interfaces with my Kenwood 850. Works well. He responds quickly to questions and will not give up on you.

Helping a friend out now with his Yaesu FT-857D. Even though Steve is on vacation he has spent a lot of time on his phone helping us discover the obvious. Now that is service! Thanks Steve!!

Easy to connect up and works great Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Emailed Steve to figure out just which cable set would work best for interfacing the IC-7000. He was quick to respond and shipping was fast. Cables work great. Not only does it work for rig control, I can program the memories using CHIRP and the interface cable.

Just plain works Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was using one of XGGCOMMS radio control cables for several years for rig control only on my Icom IC-736 and HRD. When I decided to give PSK31 a try, I purchased their Icom CAT IC-Cable-7. I received it in short order and installed it in minutes. It works great, I was up and running with PSK31 in short order. I'm using it with HRD/DM780 and also with Digipan. It works fine with both programs. I'm a believer in the keep it simple system, and this product just plain works. Take the time to read the instructions for setting up your software and computer configuration and you should have no problems.

BUZZING Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Would not work properly. intermittent results at best. Spent many hours struggling with this and I could not get rid of a constant "buzzing noise" which spoilt any strong signals that could be heard above the buzz. Purchased a proper one from a HRD recommended supplier which works flawlessly and costs less.

Great interface Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have this interface for my Icom-706mk2g. Is a great little interface. It has a ttl-232 leveler. It takes just about a minute to hook up. I have found it to be more sensative than some other more expensive interfaces. There have been several comments about no isolation, I have found no problems. IF there are spurs that show in the watwerfall I found that 2 things will fix it. 1 put a ferrit bead on the computer end. 2 make sure that your sound card is not adjacent to any other cards in your computer as it will cross talk. Overall I would buy another one. It works well with every program I have tried.
