Ive only had this antenna for a few weeks and its a replacement for my A3s that was over 10yrs old,The Antenna uses an rf choke,The antenna comes pre drilled. We been playing with the vswr and now have it down to 1:5 on the three bands I would like to see it lower as per manual? But time will tell and then I mite give it 5/5.

Weak mechanically !!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Very good performer but VERY weak components. Hopeless construction for high winds and moisture will short out internal element insulators! Have owned this antenna over 9 years - during that time have rebuilt most of it 3 or 4 times!

As far as performance goes, it is out on it's own for a tri-band yagi. Extremely good Forward gain and Front to Back is excellent. No more than 1.3:1 swr on any of 20/15/10 meters.

a 5* performer with a 3* mechanical design Time Owned: unknown months.
I am using this antenna since 1985 and it is a real nice performer. It's a 5 elements short boom tribander with no traps. The VK2OAU design has been used for it: 2 driven elements per band with about 130° phase shift, like an HB9CV. The only complain could be about the light mechanical design. I had to rebuilt the antenna 2 or 3 times now. The antenna is still available from an australian antenna builder, the electrical design is still the same but the mechanical design has been reviewed.
