Look - Perfect Verticle Antenna and Service Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Ham for over 30 years with beams and towers BUT new QTH is a lightning magnet so needed an EASY TO USE foldover. Researched verticals and decided on the ZeroFive 10-40 GP Vertical. What a pleasure to see and hold a work of such excellent craftsmanship. Saturday morning to put up. Mine is at 15 feet. It matched wonderfully with my Icom 775DSP and MFJ993B Autotuner. Across 160 - 10 meters there is only one 10kc segment that the SWR is 1.4...otherwise 95% of the bands match PERFECTLY. In the week I have had it up, worked over 80 countries in the CQ WW SSB test. And outside the test worked some good dx also. It's no beam, but when a spot comes on the cluster for a rare one...I don't have to turn a beam so can usually be one of the first to make contact. Armchair QSO's have been getting great reports on 40 - 10 (have not tried 160 or 80 yet). So the antenna is fantastic and a great choice.
Tom's service is unbelievable. Call and he picks up the phone and is willing to help with anything.
When a ham makes a purchase, the product should work, be a quality manufactured product and have reasonable support to back it up. The ZEROFIVE 10-40 Vertical GP, exceeds all expectations for me and my neighbors say it even looks good.
Update:July/2024 230 countries at low power. Tunes on all bands (added a 6M though). FANTASTIC ANTENNA!

great antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
All I can say is that this antenna is great - you put it up and guy it down (cuz it wobbles a lot) with the dacron/polyester rope you get from dx-engineering, and it performs great - I've had it up since last fall, high winds galore here in WNY (eastern end of Lake Erie) and this baby keeps going great - wonderful product - my FT-950 internal tuner even tunes it on 160 (yeah, I'm shocked too) - no complaints, lots of dx, espcially on the higher HF bands - Thanks to Tom at ZeroFive for a wonderful product and customer service.................Larry KA2DDX

update dec. 16, 2023
I still have this antenna and use it extensively with my newers rigs - ftdx3000 / ftdx5000 - with the antenna I operate 160 thru 6m - using the internal tuner on either rig - just a little iffy on 80m with it, but rock solid on the other bands - the antenna is not spec'd for all these bands, but nevertheless it works like a charm -

Love this antenna Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Installed on a 10' section of 1 1/2" steel pipe mounted on the side of the house in a deed restricted HOA. Spray painted with flat olive drab and have to say you'd be hard pressed to notice it from the street. Has delivered numerous West Coast, South American and European DX contacts from home in FL. Could not be happier with the build quality. Great job by ZeroFive!

Very nice antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Really well made antenna, easy to assemble.
Performance is mixed, on 40 meters a full size dipole does better in most stateside situations but the zero 5 is close.
As you go higher in frequency the zero 5 gets better and better.
This antenna is likely a better DX antenna then a local antenna...

Low swr 40 and up, very broad banded.
Low noise at my QTH.
I got the unun version, the unun seems to make the antenna have a lower swr across a very wide range.
1.2-1 on 40 meters, 1.5-1 or less on all the other bands I have tried.
I installed it and hooked it up without the unun as that ships separate and it works much better with the unun.
I have about 60 feet of rg214 feeding it, no rf in the house, nothing gets hot, even at high power.
I roof mounted mine, about a foot off the top of the roof, and a 30 foot tall antenna is a lot of antenna to extend while standing on the peak of a roof. The 42 foot version would have been nice but too much for my situation/mount.

The ideal antenna would have a bunch of full size radials, but if you don't have the space, this antenna seems to do very well.
I had other verticals in the past, without enough radials, and they worked very poorly.
This antenna works much better then they did.

I think this antenna looks great on the house, and the wife did not object....

Fantastic antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a fantastic antenna! It is built to last and is easily assembled following the instructions and markings on the parts that Tom provides. He is there for you whenever you have a question. My emails were answered in just a short time and his advice was solid. The antenna tunes as advertised and it will even tune up on part of the 75 meter band. I mounted the 10-40 vertical on a tip-over 15 foot mast that was home brewed and fed it with good quality coax. I use a Palstar AT2K manual tuner and it is nearly flat across all the bands. This is the antenna I purchased to replace a Cushcraft R7 that had seen better days and it is a far better antenna. On some signals it is one or two S units better than my dipole and is generally quieter. I highly recommend Tom and his antenna products. The shipping was super fast too.

Excellent Antenna Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I am so glad I bought the 27' 10 thru 40 from Tom. Does exactly as advertised and even tunes up on 80. I've used cushcraft, Butternut verticals over the years and nothing has perfomred like this. I live in a HOA and the antenna easily blends into the surroundings. For use I simply lock the Antenna into place at the tilt over base, insert a simple bolt in place when I wish to operate and tilt it over/lean against the house on the way to work. Takes about 30sec. Solid quality product. I had a couple questions for Tom prior to purchase and he alway responded right away. I highly recommend Tom and his antennas. I wish now that I would have gotten one of these years ago. 73s de w7dog

The best vertical possible Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After moving from 4000 feet elevation, two towers, five beams and wire up 90 feet I wound up with COPD and had to move to city lot and lower elevation. This caused a search for a vertical and installing 30 or more radials was out of the question. I purchased a "no ground radial" antenna from the people who advertise in QST. It was the worst possible purchase, taking it up and down to tune, not being able to go from using FT8 to upper phone bands without retuning etc. Looking at eHam reviews going all the way to the end of the section on vertical antennas led me to ZeroFive. After telling my sad story to Tom, he suggested the 10-40 ground plane. Since I had already invested $450 in the other vertical I was skeptical but at 83 years of age, what did I have to loose. This antenna exceeded all my expectations. With my trusty Palstar tuner I was able to get 1 to 1 on all bands 40 thru 6 at 1KW. With 150 feet of RG-213. The antenna is built like a tank. I managed to raise the 27 foot on a 10 foot mast from the ground. Normally I would have had to guy and have helpers to raise from horizontal to vertical but this antenna is so strong that I was able to walk it up. Please remember to use Pentrox or Nolox on the joining sections for good electrical contact and ease of disassembly.

GREAT VERTICCAL Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
IT DOES WHAT I WANT....SUPER STURDY, IF YOU CAN HEAR THEM, YOU CAN WORK THEM...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THE FIRST DAY IT WAS UP, IT TOOK 60 MILE AND HOUR GUST, AND IT WENT RIGHT BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL FORM...DOES WELL ON 10,15,17 AND 20. ON 40, ITS OK...HAVE NOT WORKED 12 METERS ON IT YET. THE SUPPORT YOU GET FROM ZERO-FIVE IS EXCELLENT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS VERTICAL TO ANYONE. ITS A KEEPER

Outstanding! Highly Recommended! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I bought the ZeroFive 10-40 Ground Plane Vertical after doing much research. I live in a 2 story middle unit townhouse with essentially no front or back yards. To get 360 degree coverage I needed to go up over my roof. Every large multiband vertical I found needed things like a roof mount mini tower, numerous radials, tuned traps, and guying. I'm afraid of heights so there would be no walking on the roof for laying radials or roof tower mounting. Guying meant screwing anchors into my roof, also a no-no. After a lot of searching I found the ZeroFive which has no traps and requires no guying. It's build very robustly to withstand up to 90 mph winds.

Mine is mounted on a Rohn push-up pole on my 2nd story deck about 20 feet up from the deck floor. I consider mine a compromised installation as it is recommended to install this antenna about 10 feet off the ground so the ground plane radials can interact with the earth. My ground plane radials are slightly below the peak height of the roof about 30 feet above the earth. For an installation this high, ZeroFive recommends running three downward sloping 27 foot ground plane radials 120 degrees apart. I only have two off the back of the house. I use a wide range antenna tuner (MFJ-993B) and 100 feet of coax as recommended.

As for performance, it is outstanding. Since getting my General ticket one year ago I have 8800 QSOs on 8 bands, with WAS and 107 entities on digital modes JT65 and FT8. I get excellent 80 m performance even though this 10-40 model isn't even advertised for that band.
