One of the best antennas I have owned Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just Got my antenna today, Nicely packed!
The Base of this antenna is built like a tank!
Put it together in less than half hour, everything is pre marked so setup was a breeze! Got it up on a 20 foot mast on top of a 5 story building. I was using an inverted V on 20 meters before this antenna and there was a diffrence of 2 S units on RX. My first contact was on 20 meters with FL report was a 59 +10 I switched to the dipole it was a 5/8. hmmm nice! Then my second contact was HI8 land 5/9 also. Got back on 4 hours later and went to 40 meters I worked
IW3, HA8, F5, CT9, and a few FL stations also, all reports were 5/9 and band was not all that good. I check the SWR's on all bands and I was able to get it down to 1:1 to 1:5 on all bands so that was great also. BTW I was able to tune up on 80 meters 1:5 also, what an antenna! I will write another review after a week of DXing and let you know how well this antenna does. So far I'm happy with it and would recommend it, expensive but worth every penny of it. Great work Tom! Keep up the good work.

Awesome, Simply Awesome Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I am a new ham (General license a year ago), and live in a townhouse a couple of blocks from the Pacific Ocean on the Oregon coast. I wanted an antenna that could be mounted on a second story balcony that would withstand winter storms. After considerable research and on the recommendation of an experienced ham, I purchased the Zero Five.

Installation was very easy, even dealing with the 100" radials in a limited space. The antenna is built like the proverbial tank, and I expect that it will stand-up well to the wind this winter. I mounted the unit on a 10' aluminum pole which is held to the 4x4 uprights of the balcony by stainless steel straps. I had to put a 6" piece of 2x4 under base of pole to lift the radials off the roof.

The first QSO was to the west coast of Florida, and since then I have worked all of the USA, Mexico, Central & South America, New Zealand, Australia, and Japan. Also Canary Islands, Croatia, and Spain. All done on 20 meters with PSK31. I have made QSOs on 80, 40, 30, 15 and 10 meters using this antenna. I would buy another and recommend it without reservation.

Ok I have the 43' vertical, I wanted something that would work better on the upper bands So I called Tom, and purchased the 26' ground plane, installed it on the chimny of the house about 40' up, Got on the air, right away I noticed my noise floor on this antenna was about 2-3 S units higher on the upper bands, So I was receiving better. Now For the contacts, All of these were made on different days at different times on PSK31 with 35 watts. and on the first try, only had to call one time and all contacts were 599.
There are a couple of SSB contacts as well all those were on the first try as well, haven't done much on SSB but will very soon, and I will give a second review. I am having too much fun with PSK and this antenna. WOW!

Keep in mind this is just the last 2 weeks and does not include the USA contacts. and I have not been on the air that much. I have had it up for about 6 weeks and continue to get the same results. BTW it took about 30 min to assemble this ting and get it mounted and on the air. and Like Tom's other antennas it is built like a tank. No it is no beam, however I had a fellow HAM over here who works with big Force 12 beams and he told me he is thinking about getting one of these, because I can work all over the world and not have to turn a beam, In other words I don't have to rotate my antenna to find the skip, it finds me. Thanks Tom For another outstanding product. If you want to work the lower band go with the 43 footer or longer.... 73 look for me on the bands..

Awsome Antenna! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
We recently moved to a new home. We have an acre of land but no supports at the back of our property. I thought I would put up a vertical and a bunch of radials on the ground. I decided I just wasn't up to installing all those radials in the ground so that the dog doesn't rip them up. Then I saw this antenna. The write up were impressive as is Tom's reputation and workmanship. I purchased one and have it installed on a tripod on top of our ranch house roof. I have 100' of the Wireman's CQ-Flexi (9913) to an LDG AT-200Pro tuner.

To highlight some of my contacts(all CW) in the past few weeks I have worked Palestine, Samoa, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, India, Dodecanese Islands & Chagos VQ9 (9357 miles!) just to name a few from my QTH here in upstate NY.

I just can't say enough with how well this antenna performs. I've had beams and towers in the past but now I'm just as happy!

Great all around antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I wanted a back up antenna that was vertically polarized. I have owned several verticals. They all seemed to be compromised in one way or the other.

With some concern about the price (value) I decided on this antenna. I thought the price of aluminum was going down! When I opened the package I was impressed with the quality of materials and the workmanship. I assembled the antenna in less than one hour and was ready for the installation.

My trained antenna installer (my gardner) and I had the thing in the air in one hour and a half including digging the hole and waiting for the quick setting concrete to harden.

I mounted the antenna on a swing mount to make it easy to service it in the future. It is mounted at the height Tom suggested.

I connected my 100 feet of LM400DB coax and started to listen.
Wow, it works better than my dipoles much better than my OCF windom. On 20 meters I have a rotatable dipole at 40ft for just in case. I can take It down now. This antenna out performs it. The SWR was acceptable and easily tuned by all my rigs that have internal tuners. This includes my IC-703 which even tunes the antenna on 75. On 75 it is not quite as good as my dipole but very close. Remember it is not supposed to be a 75/80 meter antenna.

It is not a beam at 66ft, but if you do not have the space...bucks...energy...or what ever, it is a great antenna that gives you quality, performance, and yes value.

When we come back from our motorhome trip, I am buying the taller version for use on 75.

Of all my set-ups which include 16 transceivers all with amps, my favorite is.....my ORION ll driving an AL-1500 with a PALSTAR auto tuner and this antenna.

Although I have plenty of it, who needs the Far East for Ham Gear.

Tom, when I had my company, I am retired now, I use to ask my self a question about my company's products.....would I be happy using this product.

Tom, if you ask yourself that question, just answer with a resounding YES.

just what I needed Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
A very well built antenna, tunes great. Beats my dipole on dx by a long shot. Tom was very helpful and he answers his own phone. It was well packed ,came with all the parts and went up easy. My signal reports are 2 to 3 s units higher than my dipole on dx contacts and about the same on the close stuff. I recommend it.

Completely Satisfied Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Like many hams I live on a small lot and needed an antenna with a small footprint. I was really impressed with the reviews of the Zero Five antenna.
I ordered mine in January, but I wasn`t able to get it up until a few weeks ago. Even without sun spots, I`ve been able to work just about any station that I`ve heard, both statewide and Dx with only 100 watts. I had a Cushcraft vertical a few years ago (R7), and this one gets out better and has less noise.
It`s built to last a lifetime, and Tom is a great guy to deal with.

Very Nice! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently replaced my Hustler 6BTV with this antenna. I was a little nervous about the price, but needed something reliable and better performance in a compromised installation. This antenna is taking my radio to a new level. The reception is much quieter and i can hear and work stations that don't appear on my scope. This antenna will tune 80 meters, just be ready to re-tune every few turns of the dial.

My installation is chimney mounted in a residential neighborhood. Having rid my roof of the guy ropes needed for the Hustler makes the antenna less obvious.

The customer service is top shelf. Tom was incredibly helpful and offered suggestions that helped improve my installation.

Great antennas and service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I needed a performance antenna that was stealthy, no radials and required a small overall footprint. I read about the 40M ground plane antenna offered by ZeroFive and decided to call. Tom first sold me a package containing his new 30M-6M GP antenna that he was about to release to the public along with a robust tripod mount and 5’ mounting pipe. I assembled that antenna and put it on my deck in the backyard at about 6 feet off the ground. The craftsmanship was outstanding as this antenna is build like a Hummer (beefy). I decided to feed the new vertical with my SGC SG-230 antenna coupler to see how it would play… The antenna loaded beautifully on 30-6M and worked fantastic. I entered the CQWW CW contest that weekend and was just amazed on how well this radiator performed… I virtually worked every station I heard on the first call. I worked the USA, EU and Pacific stations with ease. I was so impressed that I decided to upgrade to the 40M version (additional 6 feet of radiator and two additional 100” radials) to enhance performance on 40M. Tom sold me the necessary parts to convert at a very reasonable price. The additional length and radials made a solid 1-2 S unit difference on 40M and just works great as I was able to log six Japanese stations on 40M SSB running 100W the day after the upgrade. This antenna really plays and I can only dream how it would perform at elevation. It has been a real pleasure dealing with Tom. He is a great ham with extensive knowledge in antenna design and above all fun to work with. His customer service is simply the best I have ever witnessed in the antenna field. I highly recommend ZeroFive antennas so give them a try.

works fine Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I wanted a 2nd backup antenna, no guys, or radials so i knew the field was slim...enter Zero Five...from box to in the air 2 and a half hours...needed only 3 tools and this antenna is stout looks great and in the first week worked 20 DXCC countries and WAC with 200 watts...used the tuner in the FT-1000D on all bands except 20 meters where it is 1:5 to 1 SWR..All parts are marked and no need to measure anything...it looks great and does ok, not a beam, but does just fine...so consider it!!
