Nice radio, hard to find Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a rare radio that you'll seldomly see. It is a true amateur HT however it doesn't look much like it. This is mostly because it has no amateur functions written on the functionkeys.

This radio has some strange things I would like to mention:

- only DTMF keypad, no functions written on it. You never know which button to press for a particular function. You can control it with the keypad though.
- large radio for what it does. May be too large or just large enough, whatever you like
- separate power button. The volume knob is not the powerbutton which is nice. Your previous volumesetting will remain when switching off.
- bad keypad. The rubber buttons tend to wear out so they don't make contact with the circuitboard inside. This causes several functions to fail, including power. I repaired it by putting aluminium-tape on the back of each button, just a tiny bit. Works very well!
- no name function for memories. You can't assign a name to a channel, only the number and frequency are displayed. Good for amateur use, bad for other services (MARS_CAP).

Because it works good, I'll give it a 4, also because this radio is rare. Do you own one? Learn the manual by heart, fix the keyboard and you have a nice VHF radio.
