The best "fast food" to learn morse code! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just access the website and immediately start training reception. The program gradually adds letters, numbers, symbols and phrases. Very dynamic!

Possibly the easiest way to learn CW Time Owned: more than 12 months.
OK, so I'm somewhat biassed as I wrote this (or ported it to a web app from Jim/Ward's previous installable App)... but I only did it because I'm convinced - this is probably THE easiest way to learn CW. You don't even need to install any software (assuming you have a reasonably recent web browser that can play mp3s, most already can):

You just go to the website, click, and start learning.

It'll send you a letter, you try to guess the letter. If you're wrong, just wait and it'll show you the right answer. Keep playing "guess the letter", it'll add more letters as you get better, until you've learned the entire code!

You can change speed, tone, learning order, and a few other things if you want to, but normally you'll just go to the web site, click in the box, and start learning.

It was originally based on Jim/Ward's previous work at http://c2.com/morse/ - I loved their software, just wanted you all to be able to appreciate the learning method without needing to install the software. I then extended and improved it, added all sorts of different options, words, phrases, bits of QSOs, movie quotes, all sorts of fun - Enjoy!

Practical and fun! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I'm a total noob in CW, and ran across this trainer. It's totally free, and works great.

I find it especially practical because it gives you real words and has you type letters as you copy the code, just like you would in an actual QSO.

Perhaps my only suggestion would be to use cookies so my settings are recalled when I revisit the website.

All in all, a wonderful resource.

Elegant tool for learning Morse with many options Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Very clean, simple interface. Lots of options if you want to dig in but the defaults work fine. I have made more progress using this tool than anything else I've tried, enough so that I pulled the trigger on a 5W CW transceiver kit and I hope to be able to use it at least minimally well by the time it arrives and I put it together.
