excellent			Time Owned: more than 12 months.
When I built my K2 circa 2001, I started the kit with a borrowed Xytronic 168.....but after 1/3 done the ham who owned it needed it for repairs of his equip. So I bought a Radio Shack unit, which worked OK but the iron was much bigger and unwieldy. By extreme good luck I happened upon a brand new never used 168 at a garage sale.....got it for 10 bucks!!! Finished the K2 using it and it has been and still is the best 10 bucks I've ever spent for a ham tool. Rich K2CPE K2 #1102

reliable, always ready			Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've owned and used the Xytronic for more than ten years. It has never failed, always ready to work. I like the temp meter and the indicator lights for power on off and when the tip is heating. Also the iron holder is mounted on the unit and not separate.
