One would say this antenna works good if they have never use an antenna before in their life! This has to be the best example of SWR not being all that important. The antenna is just about flat on all bands but the efficiency has to be no more then 20% above 40 meters and less then that at 40 and below. I made over 100 contacts on all bands except 160 and 80 where the antenna is useless running a KW out and never had a report over S-8 with most being S-7. Yes it is a quiet vertical but signals are also down as much as 40db on 40,20db on 20 and 15 almost equal to a Hy-Gain AV-640 on 30 and down 30db on 12 and 10 meters signals.

This antenna is unique due to the fact that the receive signals and transmitt reports are just as good if the antenna is flat on the ground as it is when it is up in the air,the swr is a little better when it is flat on the ground.

I took this antenna back to Sommer since he is only 20 miles down the road from me to have it checked out. Everything checked out fine so if you want to become a QRP operator just run a kw out with this antenna and you will be in that class!

If you lived where you can not have an antenna this would be a good one because you could lay it down on the roof or the ground so that it could not be seen and it would load all bands 160-10 without a tuner and if you called CQ long enough you would make some contacts.
