Description:
LDG’s popular Z-100 economy tuner is now the Z-100Plus. Still small and simple to use, the Z-100Plus sports 2000 memories that store both frequency and tuning parameters. It will run on any voltage source from 7 to 18 volts; six AA batteries will run it for a year of normal use. Current draw while tuning is less than 100ma.
Product is in production

Low power tuning winner Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Using this one mobile behind a Yaesu Ft-891and feeding into a hamstick. No problems ever.

Shocked at how well this tuner works. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I originally purchased this unit as a companion to my IC-705 for tuning field antennas, and it did that fine. What shocked me was when I tested my 135ft CF doublet fed with 100 ft. of DXE 300 ohm line via a DXE 1:1 balun. Short run of Davis Bury Flex to the shack. The darn thing tunes every amateur frequency from 3.5 to 50 MHz including WARC and 60 meters! It's super fast, and the memories are spot on. Love the internal batteries. Nice, solid, build and fairly priced. Highly recommend.

Nice Little Toy Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I use this LDG Z-100Plus with my Yaesu FT-891. It is a perfect match. I use a Lithium 60ah battery solar charged for my portable power source. This tuner is easy to use and works as it should. I am using a Super Antenna in a dipole configuration. I like the small size of this tuner. With the whole system it is a good "grab and go" system for quick easy setup for portable operation.

easily made into a remote tuner Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've got 2 of these and they have worked well for years. Both have had a simple modification to make them into remote autotuners. I use one for a 130 ft. center fed doublet that is fed with ladder-line then a balun (80-10m). The other is for a roof mounted 54 ft. vertical (160-30m). Both tuners are in waterproof boxes. I simply run a 2-wire cable from my shack that is wired in parallel with the TUNE button. I've been using heavy duty outdoor AC extension cables from Home Depot for those. Additionally The tuners are powered with 8-cell AA battery holders with alkaline cells. Those battery packs last well over a year. And who needs the LED panel indicators? Monitoring SWR, it is easy to see the autotuner working. My shack TUNE pushbutton does it all including bypass.

Tunes EFHW 80-6M! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've only had this little gem a few weeks. It easily tunes my 40-10M EFHW all the way from 80M thru 6M, even though the antenna is not designed for 80 and 6M!

Others have said they've had trouble tuning the low bands but that has not been my experience. This works great and fast!

Wizard Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Had my Z100 plus for over 4 years now and always had nothing but sterling service from this little box of tricks.
Used it in the shack and on field trips without any problems and although I was raised to use a meter type tuner, once I had this beauty I wondered why I'd ever bothered with anything else, apart from the fact that the LDG Z100 plus wasn't invented then. Wouldn't be without it now

Nice idea but doesn’t work well Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Give this tuner a 2. Works for higher bands but does a poor job on 40 meters and lower bands. Tried to use with resonant dipole on 40M in upper end of band where antenna shows 2:1 SWR. Tuner could not find a match less than 1.7:1. Worthless. The SWR algorithm is faulty. It quits hunting at 1.7:1rather than 1:1 Bought for portable ops - nice concept with batteries and all but a cheap manual tuner will run circles around this thing. The memories are a pain in the tail because frequent antenna changes (portable ops) mean the tuner gets confused and uses old memory settings even after requesting a full re- tune cycle with the button.

Bottom line. Save your money. Get a manual tuner for $50 that works 80-10M no sweat.

Great portable tuner Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I wanted a portable tuner that could be self contained with batteries. The LDG Z-100Plus has turned out to be better then expected. This little thing will tune anything you throw at it. I was worried that it wouldn't tune any better then an internal tuner. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. Its fast, and with plenty of memories to work with saves time. I've tried it with my Yaesu, Icom, and Kenwood. Took it to Field Day this past weekend and it tuned everything with ease.

EXCELLENT ALL ROUND Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Has tuned everything I have tried it on with ease.

Had occasion to contact LDG regarding a question I had and found the customer service from them to be excellent also.
