Great Product for small investment Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just bought this radio a week ago so that I would have more than an HT. I had been running my FT-270 in the car with a quarter wave mag mount and that was not very productive. The FT-1900 out of the box was quite impressive.

With 55 watts of maximum output, plenty of memories and lots of great options this 2 meter radio was a bargain at $139.99. HRO gave me an additional $10.00 because of a Dayton Discount so my final price was 129.99. I would recommend this radio to anyone looking for a cost effective 2 meter radio.

Excellent for the money Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've had this for about a week. Its spring so the skip is more prevalent these days. I had no trouble talking with someone 150 miles away using this radio in my car with an rx2 hustler mag mount. This radio has lots of features (55 different "set" features). I like how its so simple to use but if you want to do the more complicated tasks, then you need the manual. But I like less buttons. Its not worth buying used when you can pick this up for $129. I'll write back later as I have more experiences with this.

FT1900R thumbs up Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I bought mine from Universal Radio $139.95 with coupon.
I have owned Yaesu FT1500 & Icom IC2100H in past.
So far this is a great little 2 meter rig ,I found programming was easy after you get the hang of it,
use mobile with diamond MR77 mag mount antenna can get into repeaters in 50 mile radius just fine most on the medium power setting.I like the menu options plethora of options to setup radio the way you want it. Overall I would buy another if needed and will recommend to friends.Everyone have a great day and better tomorrow.

Solid Performer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Easy install, compact, and pleasing to the eye and the ears. Good sound output even in a nosie Jeep Wranglar. Controls are simple and intuitive. Read the manual and keep it in electronic form like on the iPhone or other device for quick recall access. I have multiple mobile rigs and I really enjoy working this radio.

Excellent Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I've had several FT-1802 rigs. All have worked flawlessly.
The 1900 seems to continue in that tradition. I get compliments on my audio quality and the menu structure is as intuitive as can be. I wish all manufacturers would alphabetize their menus like Yaesu does. I find this radio simple and fun to use. I love not having to listen to fan noise.

Get what you pay for!!! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Great radio, can't really complain for 150$ cdn. Cheapest 2m mobile out there. If you are expecting something amazing from this radio, don't. It does what it is supposed to do, communicate on 2m, period.
Speaker is loud, mic is OK, display is nice and readable, repeaters are a snap to program.

would buy again, and recommend the radio.
