It features a remote sensor with a 6 foot cable. It is ideal for mobile mounting. It includes Velcro pads. There is a lamp on-off on the right side.

it works now!!!!			Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I reopened the unit. The power meter sometimes looked to give reasonable values. The problem was intermittent and very hard to find it out. I decided to resolder the inside of the plastic box where the meter is. The sensor metal box looked fine, there was so much glue in there that I preferred to resolder just the inside plastic box. I broke one of the 4 little plastic things that keep close the plastic box by pressure. It is annoying that the box was a plastic one and screws were not used to close the box! Maybe that could have rised the price too high... 4 screws!!! Resoldering was not very easy. The solder paste which was used seemed to me a bad quality one. There were also some leftovers of glue making the work annoying. The points to solder were close each other, but in the end after some hours of hard work I completed the work, and recalibrated the unit. Then it was compared to a Daiwa SWR meter. They indicated the same power and nearly the same swr. In the user manual there is NO SCHEMATIC!!! I increase my rating to a 2/5, because after a lot of work the unit is fine. ---------- Previous review. I bought it new from a shop at abt 80$, much less than the street price. I immediately noticed that the power reading at different scales were inconsistent from each other. A friend of mine had a look into it and adjusted the trimmers to calibrate it, but still both the power and the swr meters are very imprecise. On top of that, the case is made of plastic without any screws. It is an adventure to open it to calibrate it. The few bucks RF probe by Hendrincks http://www.qrpkits.com/rfprobe.html to measure power output up to 50 watts outperforms the CMX-2. ---------------------- Earlier 0-star review posted by KD7RDZI2 on 2009-06-23 I bought it new from a shop at abt 80$, much less than the street price.
