Excellent Time Owned: more than 12 months.
K1TO has been assisting me with tower and antenna work since moving to Sarasota nine years ago. For Dan, safety and careful planning are the names of the game.

Most recently he replaced a rotor in my 60 ft. tower. This was a very difficult job due to the heavy mast and antenna assembly that had to be lifted to allow the old rotor to be removed and the new one put in its place. Dan did this job safely and efficiently, and was able to complete the entire operation with one visit to my QTH. The new rotor, an Orion 2800, has worked perfectly ever since, making me a very "happy camper".

I can strongly recommend Dan for amateur antenna and tower work. He can handle small jobs to an entire project, from initial tower & antenna planning, to hardware acquisition, to tower and antenna assembly, to tower erection and antenna installation, to complete system check out, to "happy camper" status!

Outstanding Service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Dan K1TO certainly knows his engineering. He took his time, carefully planned out the site design, and secured my tower like a ROCK. Dan also worked out how to get a monstrous Mosley TA-33-M-WARC -with- the KR-40 40m dipole add-on up to the tower from inside my little back yard. After getting the antenna *situated*, he got my Cubex quad up on the top of the mast, then secured the TA-33. Dan was super to work with, pleasant, supportive, kind, and easygoing. You want a great installer? Contact A1 Tower Service. I can't imagine a better way to go than with K1TO!!

Great Service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My experience with A1Tower Service was an excellent one. First of all after describing the job to Dan via email, he ask very appropriate questions about information that I had omitted. Once he completely understood the job at hand, he developed a spreadsheet that detailed each task and the estimated time. This was very thorough!

Once the day arrived, Dan was on time and was ready to begin right away. Unfortunately we had a little snafu with a couple tower sections that did fit together very well. This put us behind about a couple of hours, but this was my fault--I should have made sure they were ready to go! Nevertheless, the rest of the project went as planned. We did have some weather issues which no one can predict.

Actually I have climbed for about 17 years, but at 61+ years, I find my ability to stay on the tower for extended periods not to good now. Dan is very experienced and very good about detailing what was going to happen before we started the actual work. My ground crew had very limited experience.

BTW, the project was installing 3 additional sections of R45 to an allready 76' high tower. We installed a 40-2CD and 204BA at the top with a 20' carbon steel mask and a Yaesu rotator. Additonall we installed an additional guy assembly at 98'.

Absolutely, I rate Dan service at 5-star! I will highly recommend him for your project.

Excellent Performance Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Dan is very thorough and does excellent project management. He listens to what you want and shares his work plans, then give you updates along the way. He is very safe and amazingly efficient. You will have ZERO worries about safety or outcome.
Over the Labor Day weekend he took down 80 feet of Rohn 45 with all the hardware, removed a few yagis, re-installed some yagis on another Rohn 45 tower plus various hardware and wire antennas. He made a couple of suggestions for improvements mid project and they were excellent.
He has years of experience and if you want it done right with a "turnkey" experience I highly recommend you contact him.
