Works as good as it looks Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have not heard my own audio (yet) but others advise it is great. As to the mic, it is a heavy duty mic that looks great. You know you have a real piece of gear when you pick it up and feel the weight of it. Very resonable price too. Ten-Tec has hit the mark (again) on this one. Way to go.

very high quality Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a gem to look at.I was going to buy a Heil,But TT came out with the Regal.
I have had excellent reports after doing back to back tests with the standard TT desk mic.
Well done and a great price.I would highly recommend.

True Quality Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just received my 707 and custom walnut stand with laser engraved callsign. To say this piece of equipment is gorgeous would be a gross understatement. Not only does it possess great look and feel, it performs equally well.

Outstanding mike ! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is the best sounding mike I ever had, it increases the audio quality of my ORION II far more than the very good 708 and 709 mikes I used to work with.
A MUST for any TT owner, and a terrific competitor for other brands, not to mention the price, a real bargain.

The Best! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've had top of the line Kenwood, Yaesu and Heil microphones, but this one beats them all. Teamed up with the EQ settings on the FT-2000D - set for "punch" for DX-ing, and I am in heaven.

And its the coolest "retro" look, serious heavy duty build quality - from one of my favorite US manufacturers.

Last but not least - the ergonomics of the mic are truly FB.

Graet looking and working Mic Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I concur with Bob's well stated review. I had the 707 for a few weeks thanks to TenTec and really enjoyed it. I used it on the TT Omni Vll and the Flex 3000 and received great reports from ham friends who know my voice in person. I liked it so much that I have ordered one of my own. Also, it compared very favorably with other good and popular microphones that I had been using for years. People who could see my transmitted signal on a spectrum scope reported that it was well balanced in the voice spectrum and captured the full range of my voice, and the sound was very crisp and clean. I highly recommend it for any of the modern radios. 73, Robert, W5APN.

Great sounding mike, beautiful appearance. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Tentec is set to release for shipment the newest offering being their model 707 Regal desk microphone. I received an advance unit for evaluation. Upon opening a very nice molded case which is lined with die cut foam interior, I was astonished at the elegant beauty of the device before me. I almost didn't want to pick it up and put a finger print on it. It's heavy, it's all metal and sports a silky chrome finish.

Using the supplied cable, I connected it to my Omni VII and set the MENU items on the radio to the values as suggested by Tentec. My first contacts were with a group that are regulars and know me both by radio and in person. I received multiple comments like "that is the best sounding radio that I've heard" and "wow, what did you do to get that great sounding audio?" were the most common. Needless to say, I smiled.

This is a uni-directional mike that shows no tendency to pick up the amp noise off of the back side. It is provided with a "live" mike circuit that allows for normal VOX operation or a very smooth and quiet thumb operated PTT switch. The mike has a dynamic element with a built-in wind screen. The frequency response is stated to be 50 Hz to 16 KHz with an output level of -78 dBV. It should interface easily with most modern radios today.

Clearly this is an item that will grace your operating position or desk and one that sounds great on the air. I do believe that Tentec has clearly established its position as a SSB radio company with equipment that has outstanding transmit audio sound and quality along with great time proven value, not to mention superior receiver performance.
