Feature for feature, nothing better! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using this program since Version 1.0 (93-94)and like to use it over my other logging programs. I just keep DX contacts in LOGWindows because of the DXing features (I love being able to see a dx spot pop up, click on it, and have it put the dx info in the log (from cd-rom callbook, tune the radio to the DX's frequency, and turn the antenna in the DX's direction. All at the same time!) but I do use LOGic 5 to keep all of my historical contacts in.

Customer service is the best! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
IMHO people who still keep paper logs are overly nostalgic for the good old days of ham radio (no offense, nostalgia can be a good thing!) but if you've decided to move to computer logging like I did about a year ago Log Windows is the way to go. I investigated all of the popular logging programs and even purchased a few and downloaded a few more of the free ones. Some are overly simple while others come with an operators manual that rivals the one you get with the latest most complex HF transceiver!
If you're looking for something between these two extremes try Log Windows. The logging portion is straight forward, complete and easy to use. Call book look up for Buckmaster, RAC, and QRZ CD's is included, along with rig interface and rotor control if you want to use all of the features.
Log Windows is not strictly speaking a"contest" logging program, but if you are more of a casual contester like me, making a few dozen or a few hundred QSO's in most contests, Log Windows is fine. It also works great with Cabrillo Tools to create the electronic logs that most contests are now requesting/requiring.
But the best part has to be their customer service. I just downloaded their newest version 3.07.35.01 and was having trouble with it. On Friday, after 5 PM I sent an e-mail to tech assistance not expecting anything back until Monday. Within an hour I had a reply back from Rick with a suggested solution. I didn't get it right the first time and sent another e-mail. Another answer came right away. After still not getting it right I sent one more e-mail at 11 o'clock and went to bed. This morning I have an e-mail from Rick at 12:13 AM. This time everything worked. Turned out I had made a mistake ( imagine that). This gives new meaning to the term customer support!

LogWindows Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've been a user for 3 or 4 years and this software is excellent. It has NEVER locked up, crashed, or gone away in the win98 environment. That's saying a lot. This is professionally maintained code by professional programmers. The reliability of the program gives ample testament to the quality of the design and implementation. Its one of very few programs that I own with such high reliability.

Rick at CSS always answers questions promptly and has always listened to people's "wish" list. A good company with a good product. I'm now using version 3.07.35.. fully registered...

The best there is!! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have owned it for many years & nearly paniced when the original developer (Ira Chavis) sold it several years ago. The first new owner let it languish and did not service or update it. CSS has done a great job with updates and are easily reachable. The only feature that is lacking , in my opinion , is a CW interface. I have tried them all..Log Windows has no serious competition. It is intuitive , complete & bug-free. Try it , you will love it.

Still the BEST Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I use it since version 2.0. Tried everything else.
Could not find a better combination of features,
simplicity and reliability. It crashes only when
it can't access callbook CD-ROM (i have it mounted
through a network) -- workaround is to copy the CD
on the local disk.

Great product and great support (not that you would need it) Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Interface is wonderful and reports are exceptionally good and easily feed into MS Excel to comply with ARRL award forms requirements. Used log windows for several years and have tried almost all others and have not found a better program. Buy it and enjoy!

Simply "The Best" Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've been with this product since it's first introduction and release. At that point, it was the best in class - and today, it still is. It's just amazing how much functionality is packed into such a small user interface. Go try all the rest - you know, the ones with the screens that are so cluttered that you can't find anything (sensory overload) - then come try this and you'll be here to stay. I've tried every single feature and they all work very well. Since the folks at CSS got involved, the support is great.

CSSI...Support at its best! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using Log Windows at WØFM since it was first introduced. When it was recently sold, support suffered and I began to look at other programs to replace it. I found nothing available that I liked as well. Then, Rick and the folks at Creative Services Software took over the sales and support of Log Windows. They really listen to users' input. I couldn't be happier. The few times I have had issues or questions, I got answers faster than I had ever experienced anywhere. These people are totally committed to supporting and improving their products.

Excellent Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I also have used LogWindows and love the product. It was especially exciting to see a new support sorce and upgrade. The product is great for the price and it is so easy to use. I highly recommend it.

I have used LogWindows for several years. I almost went into a panic when the original author sold the rights in the late 90s. This logging program is worth every dollar paid for it. It is simple to use and you should be up and running with it in no time. The only thing I find objectionable about it is the window that constantly pops up asking if I want to print my label now, when I select the label icon. Otherwise, the product is on target. Congratulations to the new company that now supports it.
