This is one great speaker Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have been on a quest to find a really good sounding communications speaker for the shack for a while now. None of the speakers from the BIG 3 ever satisfied me. A couple of years ago I bought the SoundsSweet speaker. It was better than anything else I have tried but still was lacking IMHO.

When I saw that Palstar had a new speaker, I was a little skeptical but I went ahead and bought one. This is one great speaker. Audio is good on lows, mid-range and highs. It has a very bright sound and works really well on DX. I have been using it in the contest this weekend and have been very impressed. I normally have to use a headset during a contest because that is the only way for my brain to pull the audio of an individual when the bands are really crowded. With this speaker, I did not need to use the headset. I could easily pick out a calling stations amidst all the QRM.

I am very pleased with my purchase. If you try one of these you will love it.

Very Rich Sound Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently acquired the SP30H. In short, I love it. This thing is amazing. It's so much better than the open-back (and somewhat cheezy) YaeComWood accessory speakers. The SP30H is a sealed, acoustically treated, heavy magnet, 20-watt speaker that produces golden lows and brilliant clarity. It compliments the R30 receiver's 5 watts of low-distortion audio beautifully, unlike common companion radio speakers. I know that first hand because I have three of the Japanese speakers. I don't feel any are worth the money. You're only paying for the matching cabinet. The speakers in all of those units are dime-store cheapies. The SP30H is somewhat expensive because it's hand-finished in walnut and the speaker is a high-quality unit, but boy what a sound. You'll want to put in a switching system to connect it to all of your radios. The front-fire port must help it a lot too. It's a keeper.

Great accessory for the shack. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have used many of Paul's products including his "standard" SP30 speaker. I purchased the new SP30H to use with my AOR 7030+ receiver and am very pleased with the results. Muddy SW audio is easier on the ears during extended listening periods and for SSB, all audio highs and lows are very well defined. Check out the web page for more details.
