I was struggling to get my ARSwin controlled Create and Yaesu rotators remote operated using hamradio deluxe.

I posted a question on the forum, and the author YO3DMU of this software replied that he tested it using this software and it worked.

Immediately tried the free demo (time limited 10 minutes) and it worked.

It is great value for money at 15 € / 21 $ and it works flawlessly.

Excellent rotator control program Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
PstRotator and PstRotatorAz are the only rotator control programs I have found that work consistently and predictably. Support by the developer is the best I have found anywhere, and he has made many modifications specifically for my radio astronomy applications, such as celestial tracking.

I run two instances of PstRotatorAz, each controlling an MDS RC1-G controller and Yaseau G450-A rotator. One is for an HF log periodic antenna and the other for a VHF/UHF log periodic antenna. Each RC1-G is connected to the observatory LAN using B&B Electronics ESP901 Ethernet-serial servers and virtual COM port feature. These setups are used with various receivers for observing solar bursts, Jupiter emissions, microwave background radiation, and so on.

Setting up PstRotator and PstRotatorAz was very simple, and I have had no problems whatsoever. I cannot say this for any other rotator program I have used, and I have used several of them.

The programs are well worth the money - their price is insignificant compared to the equipment they control. Most importantly, the programs work like they should and work like you expect.

I discovered Codrut's PSTRotator program recently, and after testing it for compatibility with my Yaesu G-1000 rotor and Green Heron RT-21D controller, I had to purchase it. The interface is clean, control functions excellent, and there's one special feature that I really enjoy.

Codrut has built in a selectable automatic tracking feature that will turn your beam to the location of the DX when you click on a DX spot. In the heat of the chase, that feature alone is worth the modest cost of the program.

Upgrades are frequent, Codrut's support excellent, and the users' forum provides rapid assistance. There is also an included but separate program for AZ/EL support for satellite/moonbounce enthusiasts as part of the price.

An excellent addition to the shack!

I recently purchased an AlfaSpid rotator, but couldn't get the RS232 interface to work with any of my station software. PstRotator solved this problem and integrates nicely with WriteLog. It is really great to click on a map and have the rotator automatically move there.

Great Program and Service Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I purchased this program on the advice of a friend. Glad I did. I use it with my M2 rotor without any issues. When I had aproblem with my RS-232 port on the controller, Codrut spen hours helping me find the problem. No other business (with the exception of Elecraft) would or has ever offered that kinf of customer service.

An absolutely superb program! I use a homebrew ZL1BPU rotator interface and Winlog32 not the most popular combination in the world. The number of combinations of logging software and rotator interfaces it supports is simply phenomenal.

A right click on the ‘call’ cell of Winlog32's DX Custer Window sends the rotator instantly to the correct direction with no fuss what so ever.

I have a homebrew rotator control box called the SAEBRETrack. It is based around a BASIC Stamp II and I use it to control a pair of old Gemini Orbit 360 TV rotators. I have used it several years with SatPC32 to control my satellite antennas.
The rotoator box uses the EasyComm protocol and has worked great.
Recently, I decided to put my small Cushcraft MA5B beam on the same mast and rotator as the sat antennas so I could rotate them all with the same system. I did not want to have to clutter up my screen with the SatPC32 window while operating HF so I set out to find a stand alone program that would work with the Easycomm protocol.
A quick search of the web brought up PSTRotator and there also was an AZ only version. I downloaded the program and sent the registration fee. The first time I tried it I had no luck. I sent off an E-mail to the support list and in no time I got a response back from the author instructing me to download and try a new version that now included SAEBReTrack. Still no joy so I sent another E-mail. Again I got a quick response back and yet another version of the program was ready to download. I downloaded it and it worked!
Ive been a happy camper ever since. I cannot say enough about how promptly the author addresses issues with his software.
This software support a wide array of control boxes and logging applications and has some of the best customer support I've seen anywhere.

Really Great Software / Lightning Fast Support!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just finished building my first Idiom Press EZ-Rotor interface kit and was testing it with various software programs. One of the programs I tried was PstRotatorAz from YO3DMU. The program is very comprehensive and works with many other programs that control rotators; especially N1MM logger. It seems to support every conceivable rotator made.

I exchanged emails with the author Codrut. He made changes in response to my suggestions in lightning fast time! I would send him an idea in the morning and he had it done by the end of the day! He added support for rotors with rotational limits, such as a swinging-gate mounted configuration.

Bottom line: the program works extremely well and the support is lightning-quick!
