Reliable, fits anywhere Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is probably the smallest repeater controller available. The board is only 2" x 1.25", so it easily fits inside just about any repeater radio. I use it on a G.E. VHF MVP to make a complete, mobile radio-sized repeater (sans duplexer). At UHF you can use a mobile duplexer, & with a switching power supply you then really have a complete hand-carriable repeater with remote control capability. The latest firmware provides a very short propagation delay between the COS input & audio gate, so Micor & Mastr II short squelch action is preserved without the need for an audio delay module. Some other controllers have as long as a 40 millisecond delay between the COS input & audio gate, resulting in squelch crashes regardless of the squelch circuit used unless an ADM is used.

Apparently there were some problems with some early units as I got one with several bad capacitors, but NHRC has been very good about repairing these under warranty & the parts issue has long since been resolved.

For a simple, single repeater system or a portable repeater, this is the ideal controller.
