The “Force 12” Delta 4SXL is a composite antenna using the 20-15-10 meter core C-3S antenna, enhanced by the addition of the new 2 element 40 meter Yagi, the Delta 240 on a 20’ boom. It will also operate on 17 & 12 meters using an antenna tuner on the 20-15-10 meter feeedline. It requires 2 feedlines; one for the 40 meter section and one for the 20-15-10 meter section

WOW Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My initial reaction to this antenna is “WOW”. I’ve never owned a beam, just verticals, quads and dipoles. Assembly was fairly straight-forward but did require a little time to put the rivets in. Adjusted the SWR to my specified frequencies and it stayed right on the mark once elevated to approx. 45 feet. The SWR on 40 is 1:1 for approx. 60 kcs and below 1.5:1 on 180 kcs of the band. On 20 meter band it has a 1:1 SWR from 14.050 to 14.350. On 15 meters it has an SWR of less than 1.3:1 over the entire operating amateur frequencies with a majority of the band having a 1:1 SWR. On 10 meters it has an SWR of less than 1.5:1 from 28.200 to 29.200 and nowhere does it exceed 2:1. The results were compiled by my Yaesu FT-2000d’s DMU and displayed on a monitor that shows a graph representation of the SWR on individual amateur bands. This is fantastic but the true test comes from actual operating. I’ve picked up several new countries since putting it up on the air 2 days ago with excellent signal reports. The only thing that needs improving is the manual needs to be revised to be a little more specific and with a few more pictures and illustrations. My conclusion is it was worth the money to buy quality. The tech support was wonderful to say the least. Great job Force 12.
