Good Radio Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Had a Difficult time at first wiht the software, and getting a cable to work b, but yahoo groups helped me out a bunch. It is really easy to program now, and can hit repeaters all over town with good reports.

Good value Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
At $88 it’s a phenomenal value for a dual band radio. Drop it on the ground or dog chews on it no pain in the wallet like one of those expensive name brand radios. The programming cable and software are a must have. Join the Yahoo group to find the software. It can be difficult to locate else where. A real PIA to program with out the software but it can be done. With the software setting all the features up is a breeze.

Inexpensive but workable! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Radio is similar to the Wouxun mentioned in other reviews as well as the TYT HT's.. it was an inexpensive way to get back on the air to the local repeaters... Item shipped with software for every radio except the one it was with and had to download an update for the USB cable software. softare for the MAXLOG radio required some experience with computers and internet searching as I had to look in a foreign language but luckily the software I found did have an English translation to the software so when booting up the software I have to switch to 'English' by memory of it's location... Price vs. abilities is worth it in my situation.. I wouldn't suggest the radio for someone who is not well versed with computers. Unless you have someone whom is able to help you get started with the 'programming'. Radio cannot receive full dual freq's at same time but only squelches for one frequency when in 'BDR'/'Monitoring' mode thereby you miss conversation on the 'primary'... although memory channels may be limiting to some 128ttl compared to the 1000mem on a Yaesu FT-60R.. price including shipment to my door was about half of the purchase of a FT-60R.. The items shipped with the radio I ordered were: radio, antenna, battery, usb cable, earpiece, software**, wallwort plug for drop-in as well as cig. lighter plug for drop-in ..
antenna connector is the SMA-F so an adapter is needed.. Please see reviews of Wouxun, TYT's, Feidaxin to see similar qualities..

I will add that if anyone has purchased same radio will gladly forward a copy of software to reduce the issues I had in programming...
