Review Summary For : Plane Quiet NC-7 lightweight noise canceling heaphones
Reviews: 1MSRP: 79.95
Description:
If you want the smallest possible 'on the ear' noise-canceling headphones, you'll find the Plane Quiet NC7 to be the smallest in its class.

The headphones fit into a carry case that is convenient and sturdy. It unzips, revealing the folded headphones and a zipper mesh pouch velcroed to the inside top. In the pouch is the patch cable to connect the headphones to an audio source, a 1/4" gold adapter, a dual prong airline adapter, one AAA battery and a short instruction booklet.

The headphones are light as well as small. Their 'on the head' weight is a mere 2.5 ounces. Due to the NC7’s extremely small size, the battery and circuitry are in a separate control box at the end of a 3½' cord. On the box is an on/off switch, a power-on LED and a volume control. The provided 32” patch cord goes from the box to the audio source.

The headphones come complete with Plane Quiet's lifetime warranty.

A real bargain! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Plane Quiet NC-6 noise canceling headphones worked well enough for me. They practically eliminated the noise from an air conditioner that is just two feet from my operating position! I gave that set to my niece to use with her MP3 player, I needed new headphones, so based on my good experience with the NC-6s, and since my budget was limited, I purchased the model that superceded the NC-6—the NC-7.

I’m even happier with these headphones than I was with the NC-6s since the AAA battery is now housed in the control box at the end of the first 3 ½ feet of the audio line instead of in an enclosure attached to the headband just above one of the ear cups. Besides the convenience of the on-off switch and volume control being located on the box, I can now more easily see the red LED that indicates the noise canceling feature is “ON” and drawing on the battery. There’s another 32-inches of line that goes from the box to the audio source, so you have a total of over six-feet to reach the headphone socket on your rig.

These “on the ear” phones are very lightweight (2 ½ oz.) and the snuggly-fitting two-inch diameter padded ear cups are both comfortable and effective in passively preventing the ingress of external noise. The battery life is rated at 14 hours, but the phones will pass through audio even if the battery is dead--or even absent from the box altogether!

The NC-7s come with a lifetime warranty. Customer support, as I can personally attest, is as good as it gets—they respond immediately to any concern and, it seems, will do whatever is necessary to make sure you’re a TOTALLY satisfied customer.

You won’t have to spend a bundle of cash to realize the benefits of noise canceling technology if you choose the Plane quiet NC-7 headphones!
