Excellent for the money Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a small nifty transceiver. Both RX and TX audio are good, battery life exceeded my expectations. Some push-buttons are a bit stiff, the PTT switch works light and smoothly though. Overall, the FDC doesn't feel as cheap as the price would suggest. Note: I paid €44, which included shipping.

I live in a RF polluted area, and I was more or less expecting that the receiver of the FDC would collapse. Surprisingly, it doesn't. Yet it isn't deaf -- the sensitivity is on par with its bigger (and let's be honest, much better) Yaesu VX-177.

I didn't notice any charger problems at all, there's hardly any heat involved while charging. Contrary to the note in the previous review, the docking station I got *is* designed for 12 volts, not for 6.6-9 volts. The note in the manual (which isn't always very clear thanks to ChinEnglish) refers to the use of an external power supply or 'battery eliminator' instead of a battery.

Nice touch: package included programming software, programming cable, and a metal(!) belt clip.

Bottom line: for this price, you can't go wrong.

Great for the money Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Interesting transceiver from Feidaxin. Good build quality, small size, great sound performance, rainproof, lithium battery, torch function and low price are some advantages.
However the battery doesn't last as long as advertised.

ATTENTION! CHARGER PROBLEM AND SOLUTION:
Charger explosions have been mentioned for the fd-288 model. The same problem exists in the fd-268A/B model. The radio comes with a docking station and a 12volt power supply. The power supply blew up at the second charge and the docking station was also destroyed. The seller replaced the defective charger kit.
The problem is that the power supply provided is 12volt while at the manual it is clearly stated to use 6.6-9volt dc power supply. So I used a 9volt power supply and everything is ok now, docking station doesn't get hot anymore.

IF YOU BUY THIS RADIO DON'T USE THE PROVIDED 12VOLT POWER SUPPLY, USE A 9 VOLT POWER SUPPLY AND YOU WILL HAVE NO CHARGER PROBLEMS AT ALL.

I would give 4.5 score but it's not available, so 5 for it's very good price/performance ratio.
