QSK T/R Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
For hams who wish to integrate homebrew and other basic transmitters and receivers, this well-designed unit provides seamless QSK across a wide frequency range. A microcontroller is integrated with many transistors to completely integrate a receiver and transmitter that may lack T/R features. It is a nifty way to plug-and-play interface your building projects. The PC board is high quality, and frequent testing steps guide the builder into successful assembly.

A much, *much* needed kit Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
In spite of being a relatively easy kit, it does take some time to build, and especially to place in a suitable enclosure, given the several connection sockets it features. As an avid QRPer I believe this was a much needed device for those who, like myself, like using separate RX and TX units in the shack. Also, the MagicBox makes it a breeze to experiment with homebrew QRP transmitters, and overall it does an excellent job.
