THEE antenna for restricted hams Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Connected it and made my first real DX contact! Didn't use my amplifier and reached a station in Vienna Austria with a 5-9 report. Radio is putting out about about 150watts and my Ultimax is about 20-25' up with a 55-60' wire between my house and a tree.

I'm telling everybody who'll listen that the Ultimax 100 is THEE way to go for those of us in restricted environments.

Unbelievable ! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Quality build, can't believe it's only 25 ft. long ! Tunes up everywhere without the FT2000's ATU ( even 160m ! ) It's my main antenna now !!!
I'm that impressed i'm considering importing them to the UK !!!

If I had to choose only one... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
If I had to choose only one antenna for a small, deed-restricted location, the Ultimax100 would be it. My sloper install loads well without a tuner on 15-80, but needs help on 6 & 10. The construction, materials and price are great.

Its hard to see, even if you're looking for it. So, thumb your nose at the deed restriction taliban and put one up.

ULTIMAX 100 ~~ This is a Great Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a great antenna ! It is only 24 feet long
but loads from 40 meters on up without a tuner and with a tuner on 80/75 meters.

It took me only 30 minutes to have the antenna up and was working stations on 20 meters.

The only grounding for the antenna is an 8 foot ground rod pounded into the ground about 6 feet away from the matching box(6ft above the ground) using a line isolator with a ground strap. The ground rod is not necessary for the antenna to work but since my station grounding is not the best because of the soil here I elected to use the line isolator with the ground. The other end of the antenna is mounted about 12 feet above the ground

I have had contacts on 40 and 15 meters also. With the MFJ 986 tuner I have, it loads on the 75 meter phone band with no problem. I been using 700 watts PEP and the Ultimax 100 handles if fine.

If your looking for a good antenna at a reasonable price this guy will work. Plus it's great for limited space.

I am going to purchase the Ultimax 8040, and if it has the performance of the Ultimax 100 it should be impressive.

Great buy, better service Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I have now some time with this antenna, working MARS 80 meters, as well as 10 meters, and yep 40 also, loads up with my FT-450AT no problem.
The best part of this antenna is the support you get, I had some questions about it and Albert Mercado was on the spot with returning my emails, I will recomend this antenna to all my MARS members as not only a H.O.A, and restricted space antenna, but a great deployment antenna for their to go kit.

Works Great Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I'm using Ten-Tec OMI-D ,100 watts.Also a Dentron
GLT-1000 tuner .This antenna works very well, and
gets good signal reports .Have used it on 40&20
meters mostly, however it does load on 80,40,20,15
&10 meters for me.The Antenna seems to like 20 mtrs.,the best.I have loaded it there without the
tunner. It would be great for restricted locations.

Nice and Easy Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Easy to install(about an hour). Loads up from 80 to 10 meters with my MfJ-949. Also works on 6 meters. I found this on E-Bay for $75. I needed a quick antenna for the Winter and this hit the spot. For someone with limited space, I am sure you will like it.

Well designed / Good performer Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Found this little antenna on eBay from the seller "lostchild2u" and opted to give it a try. I am quite pleased with my purchase.

The antenna comes completely assembled with a weather-sealed matching network, a 24' long 14AWG radiator, and an insulator for the far end. Just hook up a run of coax with a simple air-core choke to your tuner and radio and you'll be on the air in no time.

I've put the antenna through its paces everywhere from 80M - 6M including both Ham and MARS bands, and it worked very well for a short end-fed antenna. I've mounted it vertical, horizontal, and sloped at a couple different heights and it did well both DX and NVIS. I even connected to Winlink through it via WINMOR mode and it worked without fail.

Keep in mind, this is a short 24' antenna, so I would not expect it to outperform antennas that are 10x its length, but it works very well for what it is. It is very easy to deploy in a very short amount of time and space. It has definitely found a home in my ARES / RACES / MARS jump kit and will probably be my official RV campground antenna for next season!
