Very good choice for the casual operator. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have this antenna installed almost exactly as the ideal height listed in the instructions provided. I am seeing what has been noticed by others that it does favor the low side of 40 meters, though it doesn't get over 2:1 anywhere on the band. The only negative I could say isn't a big deal but I didn't see the advertised bandwidth on 80 meters. No big deal as it is so easy to tune to your portion of the band. I would absolutely recommend this antenna for the average rag chewer as I am getting lots of stateside contacts on 75 and 40 meters. The internal tuner in my radio easily tunes this antenna almost anywhere and I have been getting great dx on 15 meters! Try one, you will like it.

Highly recommend Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Great antenna. Had a dual band 40/80 dipole. This antenna performs much better. Also better bandwidth and handles higher power. Highly recommended.

Pretty good antenna... Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Had mine up over 6 months. Get good reports from most everyone I talk to. Mine likes 40m better than 75m. Mine has a weird glitch. It will only work thru my Ten Tec 238 C antenna tuner with RG8X coax feeding it. I tried LMR-400 and RG8U, both would not match well at all (2.5-3.0 to 1) thru my Ten Tec 238 C tuner. I know all three coaxes should be 50 ohms and it shouldn't matter, but in my case it really does. Some minor arcing seemed to randomly occur in the tuner or amp. I run 600 watts thru an AL80B Feeding it with RG8X, I can tune the antenna down to 1.3-1.1 to 1 no problem and no arcing. If this antenna fails, I will probably go back to what has always worked for me, and build myself a 135' doublet fed with 450 ohm window line, but for now it's working pretty good.

FINALLY - AN ANTENNA YOU CAN DEPEND ON!!! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I've been using the 80/40 Bazooka now for almost a year, first I am amazed at how EASY it is to Tune, and 2nd I have received incredible Signal Reports from my fellow Hams using this antenna, it doesn't like 40 as well as 80 Meters BUT - BOY DOES IT PLAY WELL, I like it so much that I have also ordered another - These Folks are well worth the money- Fantastic Antenna Ultimax - Thank YOU

Best customer service 24/7 Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Not only does the antenna works great in both bands but the service is the best because you can contact them even on weekend, holidays and always very helpful , this last fellow call sign is not even in the system, so apparently not a real customer.

No Customer Service Time Owned: more than 12 months.
i have had may ultimax double bazooka for about 1 year when the q match broke down and caused 40 meter to go open and 80 meter to go 3 to 1 swr. i have emailed ultimax 2 times with no reply so i rolled it up and put in box. there customer support is horrible . i would not recommend this antenna

A Favorite Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Replaced my G5RV and Carolina Windom which were up for many years and were good antennas with the ULTIMAX 80/40, very well built antenna,a little heavier and plays very well with lower noise ratio, made a few contacts right off no problem S9 signals, SWR was within specs. Switching from my Loop Antenna to Ultimax 80/40 I report very similar signals..looks like a keeper I would recommend this product...73

7 years later update! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Still working Great! I did have to do one repair on one of the traps (wire broke due to corrosion) about a year ago. Still going strong and working like the day I put it up!

Plays well Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Delivered from USA, arrived fast, up and running. Plays very well with good reports so far. very happy with well made antenna. Shame about the exorbitant postage prices from the USA. (Not the sellers fault)

Nice SWR Graph Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
At the moment I have the center up only 20ft and the ends are approx. 11' off the ground, but even at this limited height the antenna performs well. The SWR is superb and I don't need the tuner on 40 meters at all.

I am impressed with the build quality. It's so nice to see a man make a great product. Too many times I end up with more junk.

I'll put the center up higher when I can.
