Great All Round Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My garden is 46 ft long 3ft wide one end and 12ft wide other end, I have used three types of verticals including a CP6 with not much success, so I put the HF10 up at 20 ft high one end, 6ft high other end and centralized the aerial, then folded the access wire back towards the wall, in one end 20 degress, the other end 10 digress of the wall, NOT ideal, breaks all rules, but I have worked all over UK including Germany Sweden, I could not ask for better, that is exactly what I wanted.. and most work is on 80 / 40 meters..
And the build quality is exceptional, thanks Fred

excellent Buid Quality Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The build Quality of this antenna is excellent I saw a friends and was very impressed so I bought one myself
I have the HF-10 up as an inverted vee it's about 35ft at the centre and slopes down to about 12ft at the ends
I have a MFJ-magnetic loop thats at about 30ft and horizontal and I love this loop it receives signals that bigger antenna's can't due to noise here at my QTH
Now something I never expected happened the HF-10 is even quiter and does to the Mag loop what the mag loop did to most of my other antenna's
I can hear signals 5/5 that I cannot even hear on the Mag loop not all bands and not all the time 80m is fine for European stuff not a band I use much so i don't even listen for dx 40m seems fine good signals 30m is excellent 20m and 17m it just blows the loop away 15m most of the time better than the loop 12m not very good mag loop much better 10m sometimes equal most of the time upto 2 s points better than the loop
all in all for a small antenna it's great you could build one yourself but the quality of workmanship is worth the money
I have a fairly poor location and a very noisy location and this antenna does a great job sure it's a compromise but it works great for me very happy

Good quality HF wire dipole Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've installed a couple of these 160m-10m dipoles made by Fred M0BZI for local amateurs and I've been really impressed by the quality of this multi-band antenna. Essentially a variant on the half size G5RV but with 80m resonator coils added and a custom made balun using a ferrite bar at the coaxial feed point. US made high quality 450 ohm ladder line and the 'flex-weave' type wire are used in its construction, with all connections soldered and sleeved with heat shrink tubing. One Western HF-10 came from an amateur who had already cut the antenna for 80m, which meant that the resonant point was around 3.7 MHz, but the SWR was 3:1 or below on the other HF bands. The 'auto-tuner' used easily matched the antenna on all bands including 160m, with 10m also showing a through SWR of 1.5:1. The inverted V arrangement also proved to be no problem for ATU matching and signals received on 80m were on a par with my own inverted L antenna.

The quality of construction of this multi-band antenna is better than many commercially made antennas which I've installed, especially the cheap G5RV type antennas available at radio rallies. It's certainly a better option than these UNUN fed 'Miracle Wire' antennas being sold here in the UK and ideal for anyone who prefers to buy a HF antenna rather than construct one.
