Review Summary For : KD9SV Transceiver Front End Saver with Solid State Amp T/R Relay
Reviews: 1MSRP: 88.95
Description:
If you use a separate receive antenna, here’s a product you need! Gary Nichols, KD9SV, designed the Front End Saver to eliminate the possibility of blowing out your receiver’s front end while using an auxiliary receive antenna. The circuit is designed to disconnect the receive antenna during transmit, ground the receiver input when transmitting thus keeping RF out of your radio and eliminating the chance of blowing your radio’s front end. Will work with all amplifiers and especially with older tube designs, Gary has added a heavy duty relay to protect the internal low voltage relay.

Very Well Done- Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I needed a front end protector that I could use QSK at high speed CW for contesting. I use mine with my Icom Pro III rx jack fed by by our K9AY loop. I use the ACC plug adapter they've designed for the Pro III rig. Eliminates the need for an outside 12 volt source. I am very pleased with the smoothness of the solid state relay and the simplicity of the unit. Has 5 RCA jacks for 12vDC, Ant, QSK/TR, Rec and amp- Customer service has been excellent-
