Wow Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Kenwood got this one right. Dual Band Mobile great Radio and tough as nails.. I found one in an Estate Auction for one Andrew Jackson Bill. This Radio did not have the DCL opened up. But did have the optional tone Board installed. Works exceptionally well for its age. The Panel Lights were burned out but that was an easy fix. Tested the Memory Battery Back up (CR2032) 3V good to go. Next I got the Owners Manual --- Service Manual and original Sales Brochure. Found another one of the gems recently the panel lights were ok but the Memory needed reset. Back up again 3V so no need to replace. The Back up battery is Soldered in and not easy to get at. But not impossible ...just need a steady hand and a hot solder iron.

Not bad Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought it new and I had it in my Jeep CJ7 with heavy duty suspension for many years without it breaking, so it definitely got the shake test. The cross-band operation never worked in a manner that I would call even close to being dependable. Programming tones can be rather involved, but you usually only have to do that when you first buy it. If the cross-band worked better, it would get 5 stars.

Always ready to serve! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've got one second handed more than ten years ago. A good chap in the car, even it needs a duplexer for two bands operation. No fan, no noise also!

Very nice and good working rig Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Got one about a year ago. It is 23 years old but works fantastic. Good modulation. Silent because no fan but large heatsink. Still usable like a new rig.
