WORKS FANTASTIC !! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Works like a dream. Gets rid of annoying heterodynes like it is supposed to. Doesn't distort audio. Can be left in "on" position & you won't even notice it's on (until you realize you don't hear any tuner-uppers!)
Good luck finding one, they're somewhat hard to find...I guess nobody wants to sell them, they work so good!

One of the best DSP Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Ok I bought an Brand New Icom 706MkIIG with DSP, I also bought the External Spreaker ClearSpeech from Am-Com inc. and recently bought on Ebay for $50 the NF-60 DSP Notch filter from JPS. I tested the three units, I went to different band to get different interference and noise, and the result is: I give(2)to the DSP from the 706 with the DSP, the noise blanker together on don't eliminate the interferences. I give (4) to the ClearSpeech speaker you can feel the unit working hard to eliminate the interference but you can hear in the background at very low volume the interference noise also the unit change little bit the voice as like a robot voice. Ok now the NF-60 at $50 an good (5)simple just push on the switche and the interference is GONE! without changing the voice tone. To bad they don't make anymore but you can buy one on Ebay for cheap price. Thanks for reading 73's

UNITS IS BETTER THAN ADVERTIZED Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I HAVE A FT 840 YAESU THAT WORKS JUST FINE, BUT IF SOMEONE PUTS A CARRIER YOU CAN NOT LISTEN, I HAD TO EITHER UP GRADE TO A DSP TRANSCEIVER OF GO OFF THE AIR, THANKS TO E HAM NET I BOUGHT A NF60 AND DOES IT WORK, WHEN I RECEIVE A STATION S8 AND I HEAR A CARRIER AT ABOUT S9+5DB I TURN ON THE NOTCH FILTER AND GONE IS THE AUDIO TONE AND I CAN HEAR PERFECTLY WELL THE S8 STATION, THE S METER STILLS READS THE HIGH SIGNAL BUT THE CARRIER IS GONE,AND THE AUDIO IS NOT DISTORTED LIKE SOME OTHER DSP UNIT, I PAID HALF PRICE BECAUSE IT WAS A DEMO UNIT, I NOW ENJOY HAM RADIO BECAUSE IT DONT HEAR THE CARRIERS ANY MORE ALL I SEE IS THE S METER MOVE UP, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Very Effective DSP Automatic Notch Filter Time Owned: unknown months.
Regrettably, JPS has dropped out of the ham business, but many of their products are around and available on the used market. I picked up my NF-60 at a hamfest here in Texas for $40. It has a fairly severe scratch on the front panel, making the price low, but the scratch does not affect its' performance whatsoever. I have used several DSP filters and found that most often, for SSB operation, the automatic notch features are all that I used. This unit is especially effective at removing carriers and other constant tones from the receiver audio. Since this is a DSP unit, it is capable of minimizing multiple tones simultaneously. The reason that I prefer this type of unit over a full DSP Audio Filter is that it does not alter the received audio characteristics as most of those more "capable" filters do. Prior to obtaining this unit, my favorite Automatic Notch Filter was the Datong Model "ANF" which is an analog notch filter that can only handle a single interfering signal at a time. These less capable units are good, but the NF-60 is a great improvement. Highly Recommended.
